In the past 12 years, we have witnessed how the gregarious hosts of It’s Showtime have treated one another as family. But, arguably, not many madlang people know that two of them are actually related by blood – they're none other than Karylle and Tyang Amy Perez!

Just in case you're still wondering how they have become related, Tyang Amy explained it in one of the vlogs she uploaded recently on her YouTube channel "Fun Fun Tyang Amy," wherein Karylle and husband Yael Yuzon were spotted eating lunch with her family.

According to Tyang Amy, she's cousins with Karylle's mom Zsa Zsa Padilla since their parents – Amy's dad Abet and Zsa Zsa's mom – are siblings. Thus, making them first cousins and Karylle her niece.

Tyang Amy further imparted that FPJ's Ang Probinsyano actress Lorna Tolentino is also their first cousin since the latter's mom is a sister of their parents.

While we're able to see how close they are on It's Showtime, Karylle and Tyang Amy have been really close ever since the former was still a kid. In an episode of "It's Showtime It's Sharetime", the 10-day fund-raising campaign of It’s Showtime hosts to continue ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN Foundation’s fundraising drive for the victims of Super Typhoon Odette this month, Karylle recalled spending most of her childhood with the Perezes.

As they've shared a lot of beautiful moments on-and-off-cam, as seen in their photos in this gallery, their most remarkable moment together on the noontime program could be in last year's Magpasikat, wherein their team-up with Kim Chiu was declared the champion.
