"A Very Good Girl" stars Kathryn Bernardo and Dolly de Leon have been in the showbiz industry for many years now that dealing with bashers is something not new to them anymore. In fact, we can learn a lot from Kathryn and Dolly when it comes to handling such people.

We saw this in a new YouTube video from Star Cinema on September 7, where both stars read some mean tweets.

While it's Dolly's first time to do a mean tweets challenge, she admits to having read mean comments on Twitter in the past. It came to a point when she even felt like deactivating her account. In time, she learned how to ignore the negativity since these commenters do not know her, anyway. She now just laughs at it all.

"Ako, noong una sumasama pa nga loob ko, eh. Umabot pa nga sa point na gusto ko nang i-deactivate yung Twitter ko," she confessed. "Pero sabi ko, bakit ko ba dinidibdib, eh hindi naman nila ako kilala? Ngayon natatawa na lang ako."

The same goes for Kathryn, who even found reading such comments in the past to be entertaining: "Noong first I've done this, okay lang. Pero nung recent, mas nag-enjoy ako doon."

"Kasi na-e-enjoy nila mang-bash, so might as well mag-enjoy na rin sagutin at basahin. Sayang naman effort nila," she joked.

Going into the comments this time together, both Kathryn and Dolly encountered some bashers who allege that they are both undeserving of the recognition they're getting.

One netizen claimed that Dolly's portrayal in the acclaimed international film "Triangle of Sadness" wasn't impressive at all, even saying that Dolly "wasn't best supporting actress worthy."

"Oh, shocks sorry, Rod," Dolly humorously quipped. "In fair(ness) naman, hindi naman talaga ako nanalo ng Best Supporting Actress, hindi nga ako nanominate sa Oscars."

"So magkakasundo kayo ng Academy, Rod," she jested.

As for Kathryn, another netizen alleged that she couldn't stand alone as an actress without her on-and-offscreen partner Daniel Padilla. The netizen even cited that Daniel reaped acting awards in one of his recent projects.

"Hindi naman big deal din sa 'kin 'yung you receive an award as long as gusto ko 'yung ginawa ko, 'yun na 'yun," Kathryn said while also acknowledging the awards and talent of Daniel.

"We're always happy for the people that we love," Dolly chimed in before reminding everyone that "it's not a competition."

Back on Dolly, a netizen asked what right she has to give Kathryn a 9 out of 10 rating in acting during the film's media conference last August 23.

Dolly then acknowledged both her and Kathryn’s strengths and weaknesses as actresses, which actually make them the perfect tandem.

"We have our individual strengths. You're (Kathryn) strong at something, I'm strong at something. You're weak at something, I'm weak at something. We complement each other kaya ang ganda ng 'A Very Good Girl'," Dolly stressed.

There really isn’t anything that can put down these stars, especially not mean peeps!
