Just when we initially thought that his character, Wesley, would be an ally to Sky (Andrea Brillantes) in the well-loved series High Street, avid viewers were probably upset that he’s actually an antagonist after it was revealed that he and his partner-in-crime, Nikki (AC Bonifacio), are actually behind the hacking of Sky’s phone and other inexplicable events that had happened to her and her loved ones.

As his true identity continues to be unraveled in almost every episode, promising young actor Harvey Bautista willingly imparted several fun and interesting facts about himself in this episode of “Celebrity Slambook.”

The 20-year-old heartthrob, whose real full name is Harvey Terrence Enfermo Bautista and is fondly called by people close to him as “Harv” or “Vey” (pronounced as V), was born on August 16, 2003 and is a proud Leo.

When it comes to his favorite color, Harvey revealed that it’s purple, while his favorite song as of the moment is “Split Screen” by Kings of Leon. If ever someone wants to go on a food trip with him, know that his favorite is fried chicken.

Meanwhile, whenever he’s not busy with work, he might be having his rest and relaxation in Zambales, which he regards it as his favorite vacation spot, or doing his favorite hobbies, that are writing and cooking.

We already know him as a promising actor, but did you know that Harvey actually has another special talent? Well, he can make his ears move and has even demonstrated how he does it!

Ardent fans of Harvey probably know that, at a young age, he has already dabbled in directing. That’s because one of his greatest ambitions is to become a full-on director someday, specifically the “world-builder” type, such as Steven Spielberg (“Jaws”, “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial”, “Jurassic Park”) and Denis Villeneuve (“Dune”).

Being the cool dude that he is, we somehow expected that he has an equally awesome motto in life, which, according to him, is “don’t trip, choco chip.” He then described himself as ambitious, creative, and an introvert.

With regard to his definition of “love,” Harvey believes that “love should be fair.” He explained, “’Yong amount of effort na nilalabas mo to your partner, best sana kung same din ang nilalabas niya para sa’yo. I think, that’s love. Kapag pinagtrabahuhan n’yo ‘yong relationship ninyo, and tiniyaga talaga ninyo ayusin, or try to fix the relationship.”

Those who were able to follow his showbiz journey would certainly know that his first acting stint was in the kiddie gag show Goin’ Bulilit, which also served as his first-ever audition experience back in 2009 or 2010. He recalled how he used to not speak Tagalog that much during that time, with pioneer cast member Nash Aguas being the one to throw lines with him. Since he was a straight English speaker then, he could only utter “di ko alam” since he was literally clueless about what to say or how to respond. Thus, he was so amazed that he still made it to the cut and became part of the show.

He may already be in showbiz, but Harvey still has his “fanboy moments” just like us. While he admitted not being easily starstruck because of his pride, he recounted how dumbfounded he was upon seeing OPM rock icon Rico Blanco at the ABS-CBN Ball last year. He found it difficult to contain his thrill, so he opted not to sit on their table since he was so shy to be seated across from his ultimate idol.

Finding genuine and lasting friendships in the industry may be quite difficult, but he’s able to find one in Ashton Salvador, whom he considers his first showbiz best friend.

And lastly, aside from directors, he also has role models in showbiz, namely, Carlo Aquino Jericho Rosales, Joshua Garcia, and John Lloyd Cruz.

Catch Harvey on High Street, weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z and TV5.
