And now, she’s given the opportunity to witness the journey of young Pinoy aspiring global idols as the host of the upcoming reality talent contest Dream Maker: The Search For The Next Global Pop Group.

We all know that she rose to popularity as the first-ever teen big winner of Pinoy Big Brother. The innocent and natural sweet charm of the “Chinese Cutie ng Cebu” immediately endeared the viewers and her Teen Edition 1 housemates alike, which made her a deserving champ.

She’s a versatile teleserye headliner

Her promising talent and unmistakable charisma made her an in-demand artist as soon as she went back to the outside world. Among her early acting projects were anthologies Love Spell Presents, Your Song Presents, Maalaala Mo Kaya, Star Magic Presents, and Wansapantaym, as well as sitcoms Aalog-alog (2006) and Gokada Go! (2007).

Kim’s first-ever teleserye was Sana Maulit Muli (2007), which she top-billed opposite her then-loveteam partner Gerald Anderson. She was then tapped to become one of the hosts The Voice Kids Season 3 alongside Luis Manzano and Robi Domingo in 2016 and of Star Hunt: The Grand Audition Show in 2018. And around a decade after her victorious stint in PBB, she had come full circle when she was chosen to become one of its host for its Otso, Connect, and Kumunity Season 10 seasons from 2018 to 2021.

In 2020, she was introduced as the newest addition to the gregarious family of It’s Showtime, who fills our noontimes with laughter and good vibes through their unmistakable sense of humor and admirable camaraderie.

In her 16 years in the industry, Kim has not only dominated TV, but the big screen as well, through the remarkable movies that she starred in. Her first-ever project was the 2006 comedy flick “First Day High,” and was succeeded by a slew of blockbuster hits, such as “Paano Na Kaya” (2010), “Till My Heartaches End” (2010), “The Healing” (2012), “Bride For Rent” (2014), “Etiquette For Mistresses” (2015), “The Ghost Bride” (2017), and “Da One That Ghost Away” (2018).

With the rise of digital media and social networking sites, the 32-year-old multi-hyphenate has been omnipresent in the online world, too. Aside from starring in iWantTFC original series “Bawal Lumabas: The Series” in 2020, she’s also into vlogging in the recent years. Her eponymous YouTube channel has already over 2.92 million subscribers and more than a hundred vlogs with thousands and millions of streams as of this writing.

Being one of the most famous celebrities in the Philippines – with over 16 million followers on Facebook, over 2.1 million followers on Twitter, and over 11.5 million – it’s definitely not a surprise that she is one of the top endorsers and brand ambassadress in the country.

She’s a promising recording artist

Apart from acting, hosting, and dancing, Kim is also able to prove that she’s also talented when it comes to singing. Well, those who have followed her journey since her PBB days surely know that it was discovered when she sang a Tagalog and Chinese song titled “Peng You”.

She had three studio albums throughout her career, namely, “Gwa Ai Di” (2007), “Chinita Princess” (2015), “Chinita Princess: Touch Of Your Love” (2017), in which her chart-topping hits “Crazy Love” “Peng You”, “Mr. Right”, “Wala Man Sa'Yo Ang Lahat”, and “Okay Na Ako” are from.
