We may certainly abhor her as Doña Cielo, the domineering, manipulative, and ruthless matriarch of the controversial Fiero family in the well-loved primetime series Dirty Linen, but Tessie Tomas is actually a doting and fun-loving homemaker and mother to her family in real life.

Probably unbeknown to many, she has been living a happy and fulfilled life with her British marine-biologist husband Dr. Roger Pullin in the Isle of Man, a self-governing British Crown Dependency situated at the Irish Sea between Great Britain and Ireland. They’ve been living there for years now, which she apparently enjoys as seen in the vlogs uploaded in her YouTube channel.

Even though she’s been staying with her current husband, she has remained tightly bonded with her beloved unico hijo Robin, who has been working as a fashion designer of his own boutique called Robin Tomas NYC in New York City.

In one of her vlogs in 2019, Tessie divulged what brought her and her husband in the Isle of Man. According to her, it’s actually because Roger fell in love with the island when he first worked and settled there in the 1960s, and eventually had a family there. It has been his dream to retire there, so being the dutiful wife that she is, she decided to finally grant his longtime wish after having him stay here in the Philippines with her for 38 years.

That significant decision has compelled her to set aside her continuously blooming career for the meantime and having to leave her elderly mom, former radio anchor and actress Laura Hermosa, here for months when she was still alive. Although it was tough, especially in her early days there, but she seemed to not regret it and subsequently enjoyed it.
