Ever met someone who’s mastered stirring the pot? Well, for us teleserye lovers, the first one that comes to mind is Lena (Mercedes Cabral) from the hit series “FPJ's Batang Quiapo.” This character takes the term 'thick-faced' to a whole new level as she orchestrates all these 'maldita' mechanisms that make our blood boil.
Lena, the audacious mistress, has one mission: to steal Rigor (John Estrada) away from his family and claim him as her own. She has a lot of tools in her ‘kontrabida’ arsenal, but her specialty is to fabricate tales and act ‘pabebe’ to get her way.
So, brace yourself for some serious inis as Kapamilya Toplist presents Lena's most infuriating scenes in “FPJ's Batang Quiapo.”
The whole town was furious when Lena moved into Rigor's house with his entire family. Things got worse when she started causing trouble there. The first scenes in this video montage involved Tanggol (Coco Martin) confronting her to defend his mother, Marites (Cherry Pie Picache). Lena used her being a woman and pregnant as a way to act boldly. Her wickedness reached its peak when she deliberately threw herself down the stairs and claimed that Tanggol pushed her.
While in the hospital, Lena kept insisting that Tanggol caused the accident. She knew this would fuel Rigor's hatred toward Tanggol, break Marites' heart, and tear the family apart even more.
Even though many witnesses, including Santino (Ronwaldo Martin) and Camille (Yukii Takahashi), had cleared Tanggol's name by telling the truth that no one pushed Lena, she kept insisting that people were just covering for him. And how did she try to escape the situation? By pretending her pregnant belly hurt because of the stress.
In one scene, she even confronted Camille and called her stupid for defending Tanggol. It makes our blood boil how she creates all these stories and lies, dragging innocent people like Camille into the mess. And the nerve of her to call Camille a meddler and useless, when she’s actually the mistress causing all the trouble.
She looked for an ally and found one in David (McCoy de Leon), who is just as wicked as she is. Because of Lena's complaints, David warned Camille to stay out of it and not to side with Tanggol.
She's so good at playing the victim. In one scene, she sulked in her room and complained to Rigor that she didn’t want to go out because his family was ganging up on her. Stupid Rigor was easily swayed by Lena's deceit and got mad at his family, telling them not to harass Lena.
Lena really has the nerve to act like she's the legal wife making decisions at home. For instance, when Marites brought Roda (Joel Lamangan) to their house looking for a place to stay, Lena acted like she owned the place, saying that Roda should pay a higher rent.
It's as if all the viewers wanted to jump into their screens fearlessly when Lena clashed with Marites' mother, Tindeng (Charo Santos). She pointed a gun at Tindeng, prompting Tindeng to pull out a knife. In the end, Lena played the victim convincingly, claiming Tindeng beat her up, even though she herself had only fabricated the bruises on her body.
As usual, she acted innocent again with Rigor. When Camille confessed the truth that Lena was exaggerating the story, it wasn't just Lena who irritated us, but also Rigor, who accused Camille of lying.
