Even the devil might be worried that David (McCoy de Leon) could replace him as the ruler of hell.
As time goes on, David's horns grow longer, and it becomes second nature for him to embrace his love for pure evil. He has transformed into a cold-hearted manipulator and a remorseless killer—so twisted that he wouldn't even spare the life of his own child in Camille's (Yukii Takahashi) womb—all in the name of feeding his insatiable obsession with money and power.
David is truly rotten to the core, as shown in this Kapamilya Toplist of scenes from "FPJ’s Batang Quiapo."
The first life David destroyed was Camille's. He pursued her, pretending to be wealthy to impress her, but his true intentions came to light when he cornered Camille to make their relationship official. After getting her drunk, he took her to a motel room. He kissed her, which escalated into a sexual act. This was essentially an assault, as Camille protested at first but was too intoxicated to defend herself. When things simmered down, David manipulated Camille by insisting that what happened was fine since they loved each other. He then uttered men’s classic lie—that she’d be the only woman he’d want to be with for the rest of their lives.
His vile actions resulted in Camille’s pregnancy, but being the heartless man he is, he showed no care for Camille or the baby growing inside her. Her unexpected pregnancy tore away his facade of being the nicest guy on earth that he used to win her over. All he cared about was perfecting his scheme with Olga (Irma Adlawan) to impersonate Tanggol/Hesus Nazareno (Coco Martin) and steal Ramon’s (Christopher de Leon) money. Lacking any love for Camille, David coldly treated her like a slave, displaying a disturbing level of cruelty. He was so dangerous that he even became physically abusive. In one scene, David fully embraced his evil nature when he raised his hand to strike Camille just for asking who he was texting.
David's descent into pure evil deepened as he learned to kill to protect his schemes. His first victim was Ramon’s right-hand man, Severino (Dindo Arroyo), who discovered he was only faking his identity and deceiving Ramon. During their bloody confrontation, Severino managed to call Ramon to expose David's lies. But before Severino could fully reveal the truth, David grabbed the gun and shot him, silencing him forever.
Now stripped of any conscience, David found it easy to kill the defenseless Bubbles (Ivana Alawi) to impress the Caballero family, who blamed Bubbles for the death of Pablo Caballero (Elijah Canlas). Without mercy, David and his men stormed Bubbles' place and shot her. As she lay dying, David coldly ordered Bullet (Renz Fernandez) to film her slow death. That day, David committed a double murder, as he also killed Bubbles' grandfather, Celso (Soliman Cruz), who tried to avenge his beloved granddaughter.
There was a series of episodes chronicling that, in just one day, David committed no fewer than three crimes. First, he forced Katherine (Ara Davao) into marrying him using his fake identity as Hesus Nazareno. On the day of the wedding, Camille burst into the church after finding the invitation hidden among David's belongings. All she could ask was why—why, even after she loved him, did he betray her? But, of course, a woman's tears meant nothing to David, even if she was the mother of his child. Coldly, he confessed he never truly loved Camille, saying he had only gotten her pregnant by accident. Not only did he show no remorse, but he also physically assaulted her, hitting her stomach and disregarding the life of their unborn child.
David then slipped back into the church, pretending nothing had happened. But Camille, in a desperate attempt to stop the wedding, fell down the church stairs. Strangers rushed her to the hospital, but the baby was already dead—partly due to David's blows—and Camille ended up in the ICU.
Believing that everything had gone in his favor, David left the church with a twisted sense of satisfaction. That night, he forced himself on Katherine. Afterward, he went to the hospital to find Camille. To protect his secret and remove any obstacles to his plans, he ruthlessly murdered Camille. First, he pulled out her medical apparatus, and when she tried to fight back with what little strength she had left, he smothered her with a pillow until she stopped breathing.
Let’s see how far David’s malevolence will go in “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo,” airing weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5, and A2Z.
