Tanggol (Coco Martin) just made his first major kill in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo. Viewers deem the scene as viscerally satisfying, since the dead man, Greg (RK Bagatsing), belonged to the faction of ‘kontrabidas’ that threatens to hurt Tanggol as he might stand in the way of their ambition in a big syndicate group.

In the May 29 episode, which peaked at 372, 825 concurrent viewers, Greg and his henchmen searched through the streets of Quiapo, ordered by his mom, Olga (Irma Adlawan), to eliminate Tanggol before Ramon (Christopher de Leon) discovers his identity as his son. Greg attacked Tanggol’s family, provoking the latter into a savage crossfire.

The May 30 episode confirmed Greg’s death when Ramon saw the body on his way to Quiapo. And it was a death Olga could never prepare her heart for, making way for a dramatic showcase of Irma’s acting prowess.

The episode, with the hashtag “FPJBQGreg” broke the previous record, as it peaked at 408, 614 all-time high concurrent viewers on Kapapamilya Online Live on YouTube.

Producer Dreamscape Entertainment shared an art card that paid tribute to Greg’s character and RK’s performance in the series. Some behind-the-scenes snaps were also uploaded on the cast members’ social media pages – and we collated them all in this gallery.

The photos revealed how RK enjoyed not just his portrayal, but the friendship he's built with his co-stars. He’s seen bonding with his on-screen family, Irma, Christopher, and Tommy Abuel, as well as Tanggol’s allies like Joey Marquez and Renz “Baby Giant” Baña. These people might be enemies on TV but they’re family off-cam.

RK’s Instagram account features his final OOTDs as a mafia boss; as well as a group shot with his henchmen, which he captioned, “Group pic muna bago magkaubusan.”

Moreover, he uploaded a farewell photo and message, which reads, “Greg Montenegro, signing off. Maraming salamat po Direk Coco, Direk Malu [Sevilla], Direk Darnel [Vilalflor], cast and crew, sa buong solid team ng FPJ’s Batang Quiapo. Napakaswerteng masaksihan at maramdaman yung dugo’t pawis na binibigay niyo sa bawat oras para makapagbigay ng kasiyahan sa lahat ng manonood at taga-suporta gabi-gabi.”

He continued, “More power and blessings to all of you. Thank you for having me.”
