We definitely have one friend who will always be very supportive in everything that’s happening in our lives, including our romantic affairs. And for one of our favorite Kapamilya primetime loveteams Tanggol and Bubbles of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, played by Coco Martin and Ivana Alawi, it’s none other than their friend-slash-housemate Frida, impressively depicted by online sensation and entrepreneur Deo “Diwata” Balbuena.

Seeing how the two have mutual amorous feelings for each other, which they have been suppressing and denying over and over again, this prompted Frida to play cupid to help them gain the confidence that they need in order to finally profess their love for one another. Let’s look back on the amusing moments of Frida being the ultimate matchmaker for Tanggol and Bubbles in this episode of Kapamilya Update.

Let’s start with the first-ever scene of Frida, wherein he assumes that Bubbles and Tanggol are a couple as they arrive at his place to order pares. But Tanggol was quick to clarify that they’re just friends, which dismayed Frida a bit since they totally look good together.

As he caught Bubbles being worried as soon as Tanggol left to visit his family in Quiapo, Frida teased her that she was thinking of him because she likes him. Bubbles adamantly denied it, which didn’t convince him as he continued to make her ‘fess up about her true feelings for him. Her bestie Jelly (Kim Rodriguez) also asked her the same, which she refuted once again.

Frida did the same to Tanggol upon noticing how he obviously got crestfallen after Bubbles agreed to go on a date with Pablo (Elijah Canlas), as well as hurt when her cousin Emong (Nikko Natividad) wished that the two would end up together. And just like Bubbles, Tanggol also rejected Frida’s claim that he is jealous and has romantic feelings for her.

Bubbles’ brewing romance with Pablo then became a subject of argument between her and Tanggol as he attempted to discourage her from going with him again as part of their agreement in exchange for Pablo allowing Tanggol to keep his job as a bouncer after he bought the bar where they work at. Since he is their “number one shipper,” Frida decided to meddle and reconcile them by saying that if they wouldn’t make peace with each other, it only proves that they indeed have feelings for one another.

This provoked Bubbles anew, so she initiated their handshake in an act of concealing her true feelings. But since he claimed that he’s not mad at her, he initially refused it, then gave in and even expressed his apologies, which made both Frida and Bubbles kilig.

And Frida didn’t stop there, of course, as he teased them anew after catching Bubbles and Tanggol holding hands while eating breakfast the next morning.
