According to “Tara, G!” stars Kaori Oinuma, Zach Castaneda, and CJ Salonga, keeping the ‘barkada’ connection genuine boils down to these factors.

First, Kaori underscored that enabling bad behavior is a no-no. You must be honest enough to call each other out, “Hindi mo kailanan maging straight na alam mong makakasakit ka, pero ‘yung straight na alam mong makakatama if ever man na nagkamali sila.”

She also stressed the importance of caring for one another, “’Yung nandiyan ka parati para sa kanila. Hangga’t anong kaya mong ibigay, ibibigay mo.”

For CJ, friendships are like romantic relationships that require a big amount of trust. Zach added being vulnerable is beneficial to the group, “Kasi minsan laging joke time ‘pag kasama kayo. Gusto ko ‘yung joke time, mga sarcastic hours. Pero, let’s say, try to talk in a deeper level. Let’s open up… I feel your friendship will grow even stronger sa future ‘pag gano’n ‘yung attitude ninyo in terms of being real from time to time, telling your problems. Literally, it’s adding no filter.”

Kaori, Zach, and CJ, together with Anthony Jennings, Vivoree Esclito, JC Alcantara, and Daniela Stranner paint a solid ‘barkadahan’ in the newest coming-of-age series “Tara, G!” It’s about a group of youngsters and their fun moments and struggles working on a shared goal. Dubbed as Team WISE (Walang Iwanan Sa Ere), they try to save their small community called La Guerta – its culture and livelihood of cultivating coffee to export as beans and wine.

“Tara, G” is set to premiere on October 7 via iWantTFC.
