With his unmistakable charisma, awe-inspiring talent, and admirable passion towards his craft, there’s really no wonder that Piolo Pascual has remained one of the most prominent names and sought-after leading men in the local entertainment industry in the past three decades.

Since he is considered among the pioneers and the biggest and most enduring stars of the ABS-CBN, his appearances in the annual Star Magic Ball never failed to bring excitement both to his fans and the ardent followers of the star-studded event.

His groomed mane gave a dash of coolness in the traditional black Hugo Boss suit and tie that he wore in 2007. He didn’t simply parade on the red carpet and mingle with colleagues and bosses during that memorable evening, but he was also tapped to serenade everyone and to preside the program alongside Diether Ocampo, John Lloyd Cruz, Sam Milby, and Pokwang.

And it seemed that trading the lackluster necktie to a silver bowtie, as well as sporting a clean cut, short hair style, brought him luck in 2008 as he took home the Best Dressed Male Award. But what made him extra lovable that night was when he brought his beloved mom as his date.

Adorning his classic black and white ensemble with a cute polka-dotted bowtie, the Ultimate Heartthrob was once again chosen to be one of the emcees for the Star Magic Ball 2009. His undeniable chemistry with his gorgeous date that night, his Lovers in Paris leading lady KC Concepcion, was really undeniable that they earned the Couple of the Night Award.

The following year Piolo took home the Star Magic Icon Award as he strutted in an old-school Hugo Boss tuxedo with bright red pocket square, which was seemed to be his lucky charm. His ear piercing and spiky hair made him appear younger, too!

After four consecutive years of being among the “men in black,” he was among the male attendees who veered away from the usual black formal wear as he opted for a white-on-white ensemble. With how he was able to elegantly pull off the all-white tuxedo jacket that he paired with black pants and black bowtie, he bagged the 2011 Star Magic Fashionista Award.

He went back to the classic black tux as he was appointed anew to become one of the emcees for the 20th anniversary celebration of Star Magic and the sixth staging of the Ball in 2012.

In 2013, he stuck to the classic black and white ensemble by donning a slim fit tuxedo with shawl collar, flapless pockets, straightfold white pocket square, and glossy leather shoes.

Meanwhile, we couldn’t help but notice the similarities between the 2007 and 2014 Star Magic Ball looks of Piolo as he once again rocked a long hair and wore a black suit from Hugo Boss. The only difference was that he put on a dark green bowtie that complemented his puffed fold pocket square. Besides, he wasn’t also dateless on the red carpet as he had his Hawak Kamay leading lady Iza Calzado as his gorgeous arm candy.

His look the following year reminded us of the iconic peerless spy James Bond as he paraded in a Dior Homme black tuxedo, usual black bowtie, and a white pocket square.

Piolo arrived in white again in 2016 after four years of wearing black. He was cladded in an Ivarluski Aseron creation, which was a custom slim fit white tuxedo with contrasting black lapels, black pocket square, and two black buttons. He also appeared astonishingly hotter and more refreshing as he sported a scruffier look by having stubble and undercut hairstyle.

And in 2017, he veered away from the classic, too, by appearing in a midnight blue suit by another Filipino designer Jerome Lorico. It had a black shawl collar, flapless pockets, and a black one-peak fold pocket square that complemented his black bowtie.
