“For somebody as divine as you are, does the Divine Diva actually retire?” Boy Abunda asked Zsa Zsa Padilla in a past episode of Tonight with Boy Abunda.
Someone from the audience answered on the singer-actress’ behalf: “Never!” Zsa Zsa laughed, and it turned out she has the same sentiments as well, although she described her career as “slowing down.”
“But I guess slowing down doesn’t have to be still. I just like na may privilege na ako ngayon na hindi na ako ‘yung, ‘Ano ba’ng next kong gagawin?’ Kasi parang dumating na ako sa punto ng buhay ko na nasa edad na ako na pwede kang mag-relax,” she explained.
In fact, in that year, 2018, Zsa Zsa staged a concert title “The Best Day of My Life,” which she said was taken from a song she and Karylle used to do. “When we we’re conceptualizing the show, malapit siya sa Mother’s Day. Sabi ko, title na lang ng kanta para it would relate to how a parent would feel being with her children,” she said of the concert’s title.
From there, Zsa Zsa opened up about her love for her kids. “I don’t see them as much as before because they’re all grown-ups now. So, everytime we’ll have the chance na mag-dinner, mag-lunch, I’ll say, ‘I had the best time,’” she said.
