The Diamond Star Maricel Soriano and It Girl Janella Salvador opened the interview talking about their film, “The Heiress”, a horror movie that revolves around the concept of black magic. As the two actresses give an overview of “The Heiress,” a creepy creature akin to a witch comes behind Boy Abunda, making him run away. While Tito Boy was obviously scared, Maricel and Janella simply looked amused with the King of Talk’s reaction.

Janella feels honored working with Maricel and she took the opportunity to learn from the Diamond Star. Maricel said family has always been her biggest motivation. She also mentioned that luck only strikes once in a while; hence, the importance of love and respect for one’s craft. Meanwhile, at her age, Janella admitted that she is still in the process of searching for her purpose.

On the second gap of the episode, Maricel bestowed words of wisdom on Janella specifically about love and career. Maricel reminded Janella to learn the value of self-love first before jumping into a relationship. On being an actress, Maricel told Janella to make sure that emotions are genuinely felt. “Hindi lang luha ang basehan ng pagiging mahusay na artista kundi puso. You have to feel it because the audience feels you at hindi mo sila puwedeng lokohin,” the Diamond Star stated.

When asked about any plans of bidding showbiz good bye, Maricel revealed that she thinks about retirement at times but she would stay as long as the industry still needs her. Meanwhile, Janella admitted that there were times when she thought of quitting showbiz but the love for her craft and seeing her progress always convince her to still press on.

As Maricel played the TWBA’s Fast Talk Challenge, she was asked to pick between Albert Martinez and William Martinez, her former on-screen partners. Maricel spends 2-3 hours a day doing her hobby, ‘gantsilyo’ or crocheting. She named Piolo Pascual as the sexiest man in the Philippines.
