“Tingin ng mga tao sila ‘yung nasa-starstruck sa akin, pero mayroon din akong mga starstruck moments,” Pia confessed. While she is an admirable celebrity, she has her own set of idols that range from beauty queens to singers like Asia’s Songbird. She retold how Regine Velasquez was always one of the names she frequently heard of but has never had the chance to meet. “It was such a pleasure to see her in person. And na-starstruck talaga ko,” Pia shared.
Aside from fangirl moments, the beauty queen talked about how celebrities are not any different from us ordinary citizen, “We’re also like you.” Their lives have become open books because of social media and everything else on the world wide web, but this does not change the fact that they feel what we feel. They go through problems like the next Juan. “May mga pinagdadaanan din po kami, just like you guys,” she reminded netizens.
