Before they admitted their relationship, Maris Racal and Rico Blanco have long been teasing fans with their music ‘collabs’. In 2019, they worked together on the release of Maris’ single “Abot Langit,” which she wrote and he arranged.

The Kapamilya actress mentioned that she initially wanted it to sound like jazz or bossa nova but the OPM icon wanted it modern. She came up with the main idea and the vocals while he played the instruments, arranged, and produced the song. In this throwback video from Tonight with Boy Abunda, Maris taught Tito Boy the “Abot Langit” dance, which is so fun and youthful.

Before the collaboration, Maris used to just fangirl over the former Rivermaya vocalist. Her past tweets would serve as receipt. In mid-2021, they admitted their romance to the public. Proving that they’re a team even outside music, the couple recently worked together in the digital series “The Goodbye Girl.”
