Almost four years since the last season of the Kids Edition was staged, The Voice Kids Philippines is having its much-awaited comeback this year for its fifth season. And there are actually new, exciting things to look forward about Season 5, and here are the five that first came to mind:

Two new judges joining Coach Bamboo

Ever since The Voice franchise was acquired by ABS-CBN more than a decade ago, Rock Royalty Bamboo has been a permanent fixture on the show as its perennial judge and mentor. And in this brand-new season, he’s going to be accompanied by two new coaches – Asia’s Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan and Concert King Martin Nievera.

Aside from their formidable vocal prowess, astounding artistry, and beyond impressive resumé, the two have already proven as well their capabilities in sharing their expertise and experiences to other talents through their mentorship stints in past Kapamilya shows. KZ was hired to become one of the mentors of the reality music competition We Love OPM in 2016, while Martin took on the same role in the reality singing contest The X Factor Philippines in 2012 and I Love OPM in 2016.

And now, we’re looking forward to see how Coach Bamboo’s Kamp Kawayan will fare in this season, as well as how Coach KZ and Coach Martin will build their respective teams.

The dynamic tandem of Robi Domingo and Bianca Gonzalez

Aside from the new judges, the Season 5 is also going to have a new pair of hosts. While Robi Domingo is actually not new anymore to the show as he already hosted two seasons of it, namely the inaugural regular season in 2013 and the second season of the Kids Edition in 2015, this is going to be the first time for his Pinoy Big Brother co-host Bianca Gonzalez-Intal to be the presenter of the show.

We may have already seen their chemistry on-screen as hosts, but we want to see how they’re going to unleash their playful facets, especially Bianca who we haven’t seen yet in a program flocked with talented kids.

More talented kids to watch out for

And speaking of talented kids, a season of the The Voice Kids Philippines means discovering new and young breeds of aspiring artists who are poised to impress us with their promising singing skills and win our hearts with their cuteness.

Those who have been avidly watching the program in the past decade surely knows that the Kids Edition has produced a number of talents who continue to carve their paths in the entertainment scene. Among them are Darren Espanto, Juan Karlos Labajo, Kyle Echarri, Elha Nympha, Esang de Torres, Lyca Gairanod, and Darlene Vibares.

Are we going to have a new young star who will rise from this current season? Well, that’s for us to find out!

Heartwarming and inspiring stories of contestants

Apart from the promising vocal skills of the aspiring artist, we are also looking forward to hear their moving and inspiring stories about their lives and what are their motivations to join the competition.

While we admire how almost everyone aims to help their families, we’re also impressed that some simply wants to share the talent they got to the world, as well as to fulfill their passion in music at very young ages.

Kulitan moments among the judges, hosts, and the kids

The competition among the coaches during the Blind Auditions can be intense, as well as among the artists in the succeeding rounds, but the previous stagings of The Voice Philippines have never fallen short in bringing good vibes and laughter to the viewers.

And now that Bamboo has new companions-slash-rivals, we want to see how he’s going to get along with Coach KZ and Coach Martin. The same goes to hosts Robi and Bianca whose entertaining interactions with each other, with the coaches, and with the aspirants and their families, especially during the Blind Auditions we’re also looking forward to see.
