Up to the two-night Final Showdown, the Kiddie Rock Popstar proved that she indeed deserved the spot given to her by her mentor through her powerful performances. On the first night, she impressed everyone with her version of “Sirena” by Gloc-9 and Ebe Dancel. Her and Coach Bamboo’s duet of “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” also struck a chord in the spectators because of how poignant and fascinating it was, which was one of the rare times that we saw her “soft side,” as how host Robi Domingo put it.

Entertainment.ABS-CBN.com had the chance to talk to Shane, who’s the second kid grand champion from Kamp Kawayan, after the grand finals. When asked how she prepared for the grand finals, Shane revealed that she actually adhered to her three Ps, which stands for “pray, practice, and puso sa pagkanta.” Most importantly, she didn’t forget to seek the guidance of God in her every performance, as well as surrendered each one of it to Him. Thus, even though the competition among her, Xai, and Rai was really tough, she did not encounter any challenge and just focused on practicing and expressing her gratitude to her supporters.
