Here comes Anthony Jenning’s action star era!

The 22-year-old actor joins the cast of action-drama series “The Iron Heart,” and he’s so overwhelmed with excitement about his character, Cronus. In this episode of Kapamilya Chat, he said viewers are about to witness a different side of him, from looks to speaking voice.

According to Anthony, this role isn’t what he actually auditioned for. He’s supposed to play a character with a love interest. Though he enjoys the romance trope, of course, it’d be a whole new level of experience doing action.

“Iba rin kasi ‘yung lalabas ka sa box mo para ma-experience mo rin ‘yung ibang bagay. As actor, mas lumawak pa ‘yung skills mo.” He took part in the cast’s earlier stunt trainings but he just started taping recently. During the waiting period, he made sure to practice daily and study action scenes.

When on the set, he observes Richard Gutierrez and Jake Cuenca’s action styles, as well as their work ethics. What he noticed is that Richard and Jake enjoy the process, and it helps them switch on and off their characters. He’s amazed how they paint an emotion just by the look on their faces. Even the directors’ work fascinates him. Anthony is eager to learn from these experienced people and share big scenes with them, especially with seasoned actor Albert Martinez, who he considers the standard in acting.

“Sabi ko, magpapakitang-gilas ako.” He wants to create his signature moves and own his scenes, eager to prove his potential as an action star. This has always been a dream for Anthony. And now that it’s finally happening, he is determined to give it his best. And he guarantees that the viewers will like what he’s about to offer.
