Kapamilya series “The Iron Heart” has always been pleasantly surprising in many ways in that it keeps us on the edge of our seats, thanks to the intense action between the mafias in the story. At the same time, it gives us butterflies and a little laughter by infusing romance and comedy in some scenes.
One character that gives us a bit of everything is Troy (Louise Abuel), who is still figuring out life with his youthful energy. Recently, he’s been interested in one girl, Iris (Krystal Brimner). Will the ‘spark’ turn into something real? Check out their scenes via this Kapamilya Toplist video.
“Teacher ‘yun?” he mindlessly asked, surprised that the beautiful lass he just shared a small talk with is his professor in a tutorial class. No denying that Troy was smitten. And no denying that he and Iris look incredibly good together.
Life at Troy’s age is about exploring and making mistakes. Completely enamored, he would build a connection with Iris outside the classroom. In turn, Iris seemed so interested that she even invited him to a chill coffee date and thought that he was sweet for looking after his ‘little sister’ Lia (Althea Ruedas) at home. But instead of a coffee date, she brought him to her dormitory. They sneaked inside her room, breaking curfew and no-boys-allowed rules. They got caught and faced trouble.
Troy thought that things were going in a romantic direction until he learned that Iris has a boyfriend. The three bumped into each other in a restaurant. And you know what happens next when the boyfriend meets a potential rival: chaos. Troy and Cronus (Anthony Jennings) engaged in a fisticuff with Iris’ boyfriend, Mike’s group.
As the story progressed, Troy got to slowly unravel Iris’ real side. She has a tragic past and lives quite a lonesome life by herself. One time, he thought that Iris was a stalker but the truth is they live in the same area. And he realized that Iris is quite a dangerous companion. In one scene, she asked Troy and Cronus’ for help, who tapped Kules (Igi Boy Fores) as well, in finding her murdered ex-boyfriend’s missing cell phone. She said that the phone was installed with an application where she saved her hard-earned money.
In the face of their search and investigation, they learned that Iris’ ex-boyfriend is a drug dealer and that she was once involved in the same activity too. Frustrated, Iris explained that she wasn’t aware of the whole picture. All she wanted at the time was to earn money for survival. However, Troy and his friends will not bend their morals upon learning how Iris got her money.
