Believe it or not, Sofia Andres has been in the local entertainment scene for a decade now. And throughout those years, we have witnessed how she has amazingly evolved from being that wide-eyed teen star we all adored to becoming the versatile young actress that she is at present.

Thus, as our way of celebrating her 10 astounding years in showbiz, let us look back on her journey as an artist and some of her milestones on-and-off the spotlight in this feature!

Just in case you do not know yet, her ticket to the industry was via commercial modelling, in which she had the opportunity to work with seasoned actress Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo for milk brand ad when she was only six years old. It was in 2012 when she was discovered by talent manager Egay Cubelo, who also handles her childhood best friend and fellow actress Michelle Vito, after she accompanied her on the set of Aryana.

At 14, Sofia had her acting debut through the well-loved KathNiel series Princess and I, wherein she immediately endeared us with her portrayal of Dindi Maghirang, the younger sister of Kathryn Bernardo’s character Mikay. She then appeared in a slew of Maalaala Mo Kaya episodes, through which she’s able to further develop and showcase her dramatic prowess.

In 2014, she was cast in Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil’s first-ever teleserye together, Forevermore, wherein she played the role of Kate Saavedra, the ex-girlfriend of the actor’s character. In the succeeding years, she appeared in more episodes of MMK, Wansapanataym Presents My Kung Fu Chinito, Ipaglaban Mo “Sigaw ng Katarungan,” and the teen sitcom series Luv U.

She then landed a role in the afternoon soap opera Pusong Ligaw in 2017, which she starred alongside Bianca King, Joem Bascon, Beauty Gonzalez, and then-onscreen partner Diego Loyzaga. The following year, she was tapped to take on the role of Mayari in the fantasy drama series Bagani, which was also topbilled by LizQuen, Matteo Guidicelli, Makisig Morales, and Zaijian Jaranilla.

After stepping out of the spotlight for a few months, the 24-year-old actress indeed surprised us when she announced through a Father’s Day tribute on Instagram that she and boyfriend Daniel Miranda are already parents to an adorable baby girl they named Zoe. Unbeknown to us, they flew to Australia in the latter part of 2019, where Daniel was studying and she gave birth to their daughter on November 24.

Despite already being a mom, Sofia is still able to go back to acting through La Vida Lena in 2020, wherein she wowed us with portrayal of antagonist Rachel Suarez. And currently, we get to see her every night in the action drama series The Iron Heart, in which she impresses us with her skills in doing stunts as the femme fatale Nyx.

Aside from these TV programs, she also starred in a number of films, such as “She’s The One” (2013), “She’s Dating The Gangster” (2014), “Relaks It’s Just Pag-ibig” (2014), “Bloody Crayons” (2017), and “Open” (2019). Amidst her hectic schedule and huge responsibilities as an actress and a hands-on homemaker, she has still managed to stay fashionable and trendy, which got her recognized by a local magazine as one of the most stylish personalities in the country.

Furthermore, she enthusiastically shared on social media her another milestone for this year, as well, which is the groundbreaking of the new home of their family last October 2022.
