Many were stoked after finding out actress Empress Schuck’s big return to acting scene as Grace Jimenez in The Broken Marriage Vow, the Philippine adaptation of the BBC drama series “Doctor Foster.”

Now taking on more notable roles, fans can admire how she has grown since being a young star. In this PUSH Evolution video, trace back Empress’ acting projects that propelled her to become the remarkable actress she is today.

Empress began her journey in ABS-CBN when she was eight years old, taking on small roles in television shows. Eventually, she worked hard until she was able to land roles in the popular drama anthology series, Maalaala Mo Kaya.

By 2006, Empress was making a mark on audiences with her skill. During that time, she was cast as Ava Avanico, a main superhero role in the Makisig Morales fantaserye Super Inggo. The following years, she also gained a part in Mars Ravelo’s Lastikman as Madonna Puntawe, in the TV adaptation of Joey Gosiengfiao’s “Underage” as Cecilia Serrano, and in the classic serye May Bukas Pa as Danica Valera.

Proving she is ready for more challenging roles, Empress starred in the popular 2010 afternoon drama, Rosalka. As she played the tragic and mysterious life of Rosa, Empress showed her range as an actress and ultimately gained prominence with her talent.

Later, she explored the fantasy genre with roles in the series Wansapanataym, 100 Days to Heaven, Ikaw Ay Pag-Ibig, and E-boy.

To further hone herself as a well-rounded artist, Empress took on another starring role in a teleserye — the drama series for the 1990 film of the same name, Mundo Man ay Magunaw. She played the determined and passionate Sheryl San Juan with the goal to bring her family back together.

Empress also pursued supporting roles in top-rated melodramas Apoy Sa Dagat and Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala and, most recently, in the 2018 action drama Asintado, which starred Julia Montes, Shaina Magdayao, and Paulo Avelino.

Now, the Empress of Drama rises anew with her years of experience. Playing Grace Jimenez, the secretary of David Ilustre (Zanjoe Marudo) who betrayed Jill Ilustre (Jodi Sta. Maria) in The Broken Marriage Vow, she leaves audiences gritting their teeth at her character. Their reaction is proof enough of her great performance as Grace.

Looking at her transformational journey, exciting things lie ahead for skilled actress Empress Schuck!
