The 2023 Star Magic Catalogue, which showcases the talent arm’s roster of artists, is highly anticipated by fans and showbiz enthusiasts. The special publication was finally launched yesterday, July 6, in a star-studded event that gathered the Star Magic talents and showbiz insiders.

But, more than the reveal of the fabulous portfolio of stars, yesterday’s celebration prompted the artists to reflect on their Star Magic journey. The youngsters in the crowd have certainly admired and picked up valuable advice from Dimples Romana’s anecdote.

For Dimples, the catalogue, which took a village and three years to mount, is forever a reminder of her discipline, professionalism, and motherhood struggles on the side. As the story goes, she was already in her third trimester of pregnancy with her youngest child during the shoot, which coincided with her eldest, Callie’s flight to Australia for her studies. But then again, she must show up and still look fabulous and unaffected in front of the cameras. They just opted to use a table to hide her burgeoning belly.

“Looking at it now, parang nakaka-warm ng puso kasi it was also, as you know, Star Magic 30. But also a very special time in my life. So, I’m very grateful na parang na-capture ‘yung moment na Nanay ako,” Dimples flashbacked. When reminded of Callie’s flight, she quipped, “Nakita mo ‘yung kung gaano ako ka-professional? Hindi mugto ‘yung mata ko!”

“Huwag po kayong mag-alala. Sanay na po ako. Ako po ay nag-aartista 27 years na po. I’m just saying na we all have our battles every day. None of you will know of it. But at the end of the day, when we are pros, we show up. And because Star Magic is family, we also show up for family,” imparted the celebrity mom and actress, who is currently seen in The Iron Heart.
