Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards face hard relationship choices in emotional ‘Hello, Love, Again’ trailer

After Kathryn Bernardo’s haunting words “Joy is gone” in the teaser, “Hello, Love, Again” has poised viewers on another emotional rollercoaster!

Star Cinema and GMA Pictures released the official trailer of “Hello, Love, Again” on October 8, giving us a glimpse of Joy (played by Kathryn) and Ethan’s (played by Alden) new chapter, following their story from the 2019 blockbuster film “Hello, Love, Goodbye”. Having moved beyond their past in Hong Kong, their story now unfolds in Canada. However, the trailer shows that the challenges in their relationship are far from over.

At first, we see Ethan and Joy in happy times, with Ethan pouring his heart out: “Walang araw na hindi ko inisip na sana marating na natin ‘yung future na pinangarap nating dalawa. A future with no goodbyes. And in that future, Joy, you have a home in me.”

But these scenes quickly transition to a different part of their reunion, where Joy meets Ethan’s eyes at an airport — only to be called Marie by another man.

Tension rises as viewers are left to ponder what Joy could possibly mean in another scene where she says, “I’m sorry but I don’t give second chances,” to which Ethan unexpectedly replies, “Joy, I don’t want you back.”

Ethan can also be seen taking on odd jobs in Canada as Joy is shown working at a nursing home. The memorable stopwatches they bought in Hong Kong also resurface.

Both Joy and Ethan reflect on how time waits for no one and life keeps moving forward.

Later, we see a tearful Joy, seemingly dealing with internal conflict as she says, “Sabi ko, hindi ako magiging mahina, pero nandito ka na naman. At nandito na naman ako.”

Ethan then also tearfully asks Joy, as he slowly comes closer to her: “Do you want me to leave? Do you want me back? Do you still love me?”

We then hear Joy’s response, “I don’t,” as the screen fades out into the film’s title and a rousing emotional cliffhanger.

Directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, “Hello, Love, Again” is set to deliver another heartfelt story of love, loss, and tough choices. Catch it exclusively in cinemas on November 13!
