From “Hello, Love, Goodbye”, after a long and fervent wait, we finally get to say “Hello, Love, Again”!

Excitement has reached fever pitch as fans of the 2019 blockbuster “Hello, Love, Goodbye” received exciting news — the beloved story of Kathryn Bernardo’s Joy and Alden Richards’ Ethan is set to continue in a highly anticipated sequel, “Hello, Love, Again”!

Alden and Kathryn, jointly called KathDen by fans, expressed their happiness and wonder-filled disbelief during Star Cinema’s New Movie Alert event held last May 19. The big reveal, attended by top executives from both ABS-CBN and GMA, marks a historic collaboration between Star Cinema and GMA Pictures.

Kathryn, known for her pivotal roles in “A Very Good Girl” and the upcoming “Elena 1944”, admitted she was surprised by the sequel’s announcement.

“It’s not gonna be easy, but here we are. We thought we already said our goodbyes, but here we are, saying our hellos,” she said. “Excited lang ako. So, thank you so much for giving us another opportunity to tell another story and continue sharing Ethan and Joy’s story, but this time in Canada.”

Alden also reflected on what this sequel means for him, describing it as a “dream come true.”

“I couldn't be happier today kasi this gave me another motivation, 'yung gigising ka sa umaga na meron kang nilu-look forward, so I'm so excited and very happy that this is happening,” he told the press.

The buzz around “Hello, Love, Again” has taken social media by storm, with #HelloLoveAgain trending on X. Fans are eagerly anticipating the continuation of Ethan and Joy’s journey, especially after the bittersweet ending of the original film – while they exchanged words of loving assurance, they had to part ways to pursue their own dreams.

Director Cathy Garcia-Sampana, who directed the first film, is back at the helm, with writers Crystal San Miguel and Carmi Raymundo who have crafted a story that delves into the changes and challenges the characters have faced over the past five years.

Scheduled for theatrical release on November 13, 2024, “Hello, Love, Again” will follow Ethan and Joy as they navigate their lives five years after their initial farewell. Set against the stunning landscapes of Canada, KathDen’s reunion movie will explore how time, distance, and personal growth have transformed their lives, and whether their love can stand the test of time.

Save the date and get ready to witness the continuing love story of Ethan and Joy!
