While breakups often leave us fixated on the pain and turmoil, every couple has had their moments of bliss. Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto perfectly capture this bittersweet contrast in their upcoming film together, “Un/Happy For You”!

The movie’s official teaser, released on Star Cinema’s YouTube channel on July 1, transports viewers through the joyful memories that preceded their characters' heartbreaking split. Joshua shared the teaser on his social media where he poignantly stated, “Our love letter to everyone whose love refuses to give up.”

In the teaser, we are treated to a tender montage of Julia’s character as the supportive girlfriend to Joshua’s passionate persona. Accompanied by the heart-wrenching ballad “Paubaya” by Moira dela Torre, the teaser features a heartfelt dialogue between the two, pondering the possibility of rekindling their love.

“What if magkita tayo ulit?” Julia’s character asks.

“Anong maaalala mo?” Joshua’s character responds.

Julia’s character continues, “‘Yung tamis?”

“‘Yung pait?” Joshua’s character reflects. “At ‘yung mga pangako mo.”

“We promise, we’ll stay in love. Na tayo hanggang dulo,” Julia’s character echoes her promises in the past.

But the promise shatters as the teaser culminates in a dramatic scene of Julia’s character screaming at Joshua, and another one where she lets a ring slide off her finger, leaving him holding on to the ring — all signifying their broken commitment.

The teaser then poses a series of questions that linger in the hearts of many: “Masaya bang balikan? Dapat bang balikan? Delulu pang balikan? Masarap bang balikan? ‘Di na dapat balikan? Paano nga ba balikan?”
