It's high time we get to know the stellar lineup of actors joining Kathryn Bernardo and Dolly de Leon in the upcoming Star Cinema movie, "A Very Good Girl"!

As seen in the cast reveal on Friday, June 23, we saw some familiar faces of well-loved actors who will play characters that would surround Kathryn and Dolly, whose character names were bared as Philo and Molly, respectively.

Angel Aquino will be joining the film as Conchita. The esteemed actress, known for portraying strong characters both in film and TV, is currently part of the hit primetime Kapamilya series "Dirty Linen". She has starred in a wide variety of Star Cinema movies, from the psychological horror drama “Amorosa” by Topel Lee in 2012, to the film adaptation of Lualhati Bautista’s “Bata, Bata... Pa’no Ka Ginawa” by Chito Roño in 1998, with no less than the Star for all Seasons Vilma Santos.

Chie Filomeno, Nour Hooshmand, Donna Cariaga, and Kaori Oinuma will play the characters Zab, Alma, Karen, and Rigel, respectively. Chie, Nour, Donna, and Kaori have all previously starred in Star Cinema projects. Chie appeared in the 2021 romantic comedy "Princess DayaReese" while Nour was part of the 2022 Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano hit romantic film "An Inconvenient Love". Donna appeared in another beloved DonBelle movie as well, "Love is Colorblind" in 2021. Kaori co-starred in the 2021 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “Love at First Stream”.

Jake Ejercito, who has turned in notable performances in the Kapamilya teleseryes "The Broken Marriage Vow" and "A Family Affair", will be joining “A Very Good Girl” as the character Charles.

Gillian Vicencio will also be playing Joenna. This RISE artist is known for her Star Cinema role as young Alex Salazar in "Four Sisters Before the Wedding" and as Tox in the Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla series "2 Good 2 Be True". She has also held her own alongside veterans like Charo Santos-Concio in the 2018 film “Eerie” by Mikhail Red.

Child actors are also on board! Child star Althea Ruedas will be joining the cast as Mercy. Althea has appeared in the TV series “The Iron Heart” and “The Haunted”. Another very young actor, Nathania Guerrero, will be starring as Lovely.

Last but not least is Ana Abad Santos. This much-respected veteran stage actress has also starred in notable Star Cinema films such as “Barcelona: A Love Untold” and “James and Pat and Dave”, as well as the series “He’s Into Her”.

That’s a very exciting lineup, indeed! Under the creative direction of Carmi Raymundo, from a story penned by Marionne Dominique Mancol, and a screenplay by her, Daniel Saniana, and Jumbo Albano, “A Very Good Girl” is directed by Petersen Vargas.

It’s slated for release in cinemas this 2023!
