Among the young stars in the local entertainment scene today, one that we’re deeply rooting for is Xyriel Manabat. She has long cemented her status as a promising actress when she nailed her roles in iconic Kapamilya teleseryes including “100 Days to Heaven” and “Momay.”

Currently, she’s flexing her acting skills in the trending mystery coming-of-age series “Senior High” where she’s joined by fellow ex-child stars Andrea Brillantes and Zaijian Jaranilla, together with Kyle Echarri, JK Labajo, Daniela Stranner, Elijah Canlas and many more talented Gen Zs.

Besides her remarkable acting prowess and stunning visuals, it’s also hard not to be drawn to Xyriel’s fun personality. Get to know her better as she reveals fun facts about herself in this edition of High Profile.

On January 27, 2004, a woman gave birth to a future superstar and she named her Xyriel Ann. The 19-year-old Xyriel is an Aquarius. She isn’t much into zodiac signs, but her co-star and good friend Andrea, the astrology buff in the group, told her that Aquarius people love crazily.

We can tell she isn’t the ‘kikay’ type by her favorite color, black, although she used to collect Hello Kitty stuff when she was little because her mom wanted to. Currently, she collects toll tickets “parang dino-document kung saan pumunta.”

Her favorite ice cream flavor is dark chocolate, and the darker, the better, “Kasi parang nauumay po ako ‘pag matamis masyado ‘yung ice cream.” She craves salty and spicy food more than sweets.

Xyriel is pretty much a beach babe. She’s been to some of the most gorgeous beaches in the country like those she visited in La Union and Real, Quezon. She’s into swimming and has a penchant for going on road trips to places with lovely overlooking views, which the province of Rizal has plenty of.

Her best childhood memory was learning to float in water.

With her bubbly energy, Xyriel is pretty much easy to get along with. The only thing she looks for in a friend is honesty. She describes herself as a “lazy but competitive” student who’s brainy too.

Speaking as Roxy, her character in Senior High, she said that she’s the type of student to use her voice and fight back, the type that no one would dare mess with. Outspoken – that’s our Roxy!
