In the almost two decades that she’s been in the entertainment industry, Bianca Gonzalez is absolutely admired for being a great host, notable TV personality, and a credible inspirational speaker.
And now that she already has two kids, the Pinoy Big Brother main host has also become a role model for moms out there, especially for the so-called careerwo-moms who have to juggle their duties at work and at home.
Those who have been following her journey would know that she became a mom for the first time when she gave birth to her and basketball player-husband JC Intal’s firstborn Lucia Martine on October 23, 2015, almost a year after they tied the knot in December 2014.
While the couple found their debut to parenthood challenging and dreadful, they eventually felt more confident and more relaxed when their second daughter Carmen Eliana arrived on October 29, 2018.
Over the years, Bianca and her family have delighted us with their adorable bonding moments together through the photos and clips that she and JC share on Instagram. They apparently enjoy doing various activities together, especially travelling, which they weren’t able to do when the pandemic began in 2020.
But as a hands-on and nurturing mom that she is, the 39-year-old host didn’t let her kids from learning and enjoying even though they’re only inside their home. Aside from holding an online home-schooling for Lucia to instill in her the value of education, she and JC also made sure to have swimming time everyday after lunch for them to still experience having outdoor and sun time – which she revealed in a Magandang Buhay guesting in 2020.
In that same interview, Bianca also related the realizations she had as a parent during the pandemic. While we’re all worried about the health and safety of our loved ones, especially of our kids, she reminded everyone to not also overlook the other problems that we confront, not that we’re in the “new age” and in the “new normal”.
She stated, “But the real scary pandemic out there is ‘yong parang ang daming hate sa mundo. The bigger kids see it online. So, for me, ito ‘yong realization ko as a parent – grabe ‘yong responsibility natin na palakihin sila nang mabuti and bigyan sila ng magandang values para paglabas nila into a harsh world, kaya nila at hindi rin sila magpapakain sa hate. ‘Yong gagawin pa rin nila kung ano ang mabuti sa mundo”.
