To some, the term ‘situationship’ might seem like a tricky scenario—a gray area between friendship and a committed romantic relationship without clear labels. But for ex-“Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11” housemates Joli Alferez and Gwen Montano, they’re confident about their special bond as friends and the fact that love can take its time.

What matters is that they know they’ll always have each other, no matter what. You could feel this connection in a “Telepathy Challenge” on Kapamilya Chat, where they tackled a list of random questions—and guess what? They had the same answers for every single question.

Whatever you call their relationship, it’s clear that they’re truly a perfect match!

From the very first round of the game, Joli and Gwen proved just how in sync they are when asked to choose between home-cooked food or ordering online. Both chose home-cooked meals, especially Gwen, who loved cooking for Joli when they were staying together in the dorm. Meanwhile, when Gwen doesn’t have time to cook, Joli always suggests they go to a carinderia rather than an expensive restaurant because she prefers ‘lutong-bahay.’

Gwen really takes care of Joli, even making and arranging the bouquets of flowers he gives her on special occasions. Joli loves beautiful blooms, so much so that she sometimes buys flowers for herself to put in a vase. So, it's no surprise that when asked to choose between ‘flowers or chocolates,’ both of them went with flowers.

Joli and Gwen have already been through a lot together, especially during their college days where they stuck by each other as they finished their Dentistry course. But here they are, still a strong tandem in chasing their dreams. They even became part of “Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11,” which they both consider an unexpected and magical experience.

As Gwen puts it, his PBB journey was a delightful bonus, as he never really planned for it to be a life goal. Still, he’s grateful and amazed at how things are unfolding. “’Pag ganito na may extra work or guesting na hindi related sa Dentistry, it’s really an ‘extra’ for me, so sobrang thankful,” he said, adding that he never aimed to become an actor. The closest he got to that was his recent interest in joining theater.

They shared that it was actually Joli who really wanted to audition for “Pinoy Big Brother,” and she just convinced Gwen to join as well. Ever since she was young, Joli has dreamed of becoming a celebrity, and she used to be so amazed whenever she saw an ‘artista’ in person. “Lalo na sa Bicol, sa amin, wala naman masyadong pumupuntang artista tapos super layo ng Manila sa amin. Tapos big deal ‘pag luluwas ka. So, to be here, sobrang saya sa old Joli kumbaga,” she shared.

Since leaving the PBB house, Joli has been living out her childhood dream, and she’s gained instant fame and fans who sometimes approach her in public. When asked how she feels about it, Joli flashed her sweet and bashful smile and said she’s not used to it and is still shy. But, of course, she’s happy because her family is so proud of her.

Moving on to the next rounds of the game, they were asked which body part they notice first when looking at someone. And once again, they had the same answer—teeth—because they’re both dentists.

Their answers matched again when asked about the best place for a romantic date, and they both wrote down ‘Antipolo,’ which is a special place for the two of them. They even spent Valentine’s Day there, as Joli is a big fan of nature getaways.

The pair got matching answers to all questions! Isn’t it sweet when someone becomes so close to you that you start to mirror each other in almost everything? That’s exactly how Joli and Gwen are—completely in sync!
