In the Kapamilya series “Pira-Pirasong Paraiso” where characters elicit strong emotions from the audience, Elisse Joson is hated for her on-screen persona as Hilary Abiog. But while her character may be disliked by some, the Kapamilya actress has a good relationship with Hilary. When asked what she loves most about her character, she talked about its fashion sense, tough and persevering personality, and being street smart. 

Elisse mentioned that she likes Hilary’s fashion sense or “pormahan” as she calls it. Although she wasn’t a fan of Hilary’s sexy and fitting outfits in the earlier episodes, she now appreciates her style transformation into something more regal yet fiercer, “Palaban na ‘yung mga looks niya.” 

One of the character traits that she particularly admires about Hilary is her grit. “She’s a goal-getter. Lahat ng gusto niya, alam mong kukunin niya talaga, may it be in a hard way or easy way, wala siyang pakialam basta gagawin niya.” 

Another facet that captured Elisse’s admiration is the character’s rich experiences, and the way Hilary navigates through situations and challenges that Elisse hasn’t encountered in real life. “Sa kanya na-feel na ang dami niyang alam sa mundo,” she said of her teleserye counterpart.
