While her Pamilya Sagrado character, Mercedes, is in an ‘unhappy” marriage with her husband, Gov. Rafael Sagrado (Piolo Pascual), it’s a totally different story for seasoned actress Mylene Dizon in real life since she has been in a happy and loving relationship with her longtime partner Jason Webb for 10 years (and counting!) already.

Pinoy basketball fans can probably recognize Jason, who used to play for the De La Salle Green Archers in the UAAP from 1991 to 1995 and then in the PBA until 2001 after his collegiate career. He went on to serve as an assistant coach after his retirement, as well as a basketball commentator. Just like his dad, Freddie Webb, he also dabbled into politics, as he was also elected as a councilor in the 1st District of Parañaque City.

It was in October 2013 when Mylene and Jason first confirmed their romantic affair. Both of them might have come from “failed” relationships with whom they have two children each, but that didn’t discourage them from giving love another shot. Mylene has been co-parenting her two sons, Tomas and Lucas, with ex Paolo Paraiso, while Jason does the same for his two daughters, Gabrielle and Tatiana, with his former wife Claudine Trillo.

In a media interview, the seasoned actress revealed that she has known her current partner since they were students at De La Salle University – when she was still a showbiz newbie and he was already a varsity player. They might have gone on different paths over the years, but the universe had its wondrous way of intertwining their lives by making them each other’s dependable and loving life partners.

While others find being in a blended family challenging, Mylene related that they’re able to make it work by having respect for how they choose to raise their respective broods. They are also able to develop strong and cordial connections with one another’s children, who have become friends as well.
