New gen phenomenal actress and singer Belle Mariano is set to conquer the stage anew for her upcoming The Solemn Album Launch happening at SM City North Edsa Skydome this January 27 (Friday).

The event will feature the first-ever live performances of her new album And Solemn set for release on the same day.

And Solemn is the second installment of Belle’s two-part album produced by hitmaking producer-songwriter Roque “Rox” Santos that will feature five new tracks including her collab with Ben&Ben “Autumn.” The new album speaks of one’s journey after somber days and search for one's purpose and determination after experiencing loss.

"Autumn" has a very light 80's new wave undertone injected on Ben&Ben's practically patented brand of indie-flavored folk-pop music. The song uses the autumn/fall eason as a metaphor for the end of a relationship.

Living up to its title, Somber was a more introspective and self-reflecting version of the acoustic pop music that Belle aced on her debut affair Daylight.

One Music PH was fotunate to get a preview of the album, and here are our track-by-track thoughts:

Track #1 "Walang Pake" has that light bluesy pop-rock vibe. Written by Trisha Denise (who wrote a lot of Belle's songs, including "Sigurado"), the song is about not giving a flying f*ck about other people's opinions on one's relationship.

Track #2 "Shot Me Right Through" has that breezy and hummable vibe. It's about a girl who fell in love quickly with someone she just met , capturing the high that comes out of it.

Track #3 "Nobody Else" was written by Ms. Soul Supreme herself KZ Tandingan. As expected, the song has a light pop R&B flavor added to Belle's music.

Track #4 “I Choose Me” by Belle Mariano is a song about reassuring oneself for all the progress they have made on their healing journey while acknowledging the difficult parts of the process, ultimately still choosing self-love. The extra-groovy treatment makes this song stand out.
