Who doesn’t love a girl that’s candid and funny? Surely, you’ll find more reasons to love Aya Fernandez as she delivers honest and downright amusing answers in this edition of “Burning Questions.”

The “Nag-Aapoy Na Damdamin” star went through a Q and A with Entertainment.ABS-CBN.com where she spilled some of her juiciest secrets. For starters, she dished out who her first local celebrity crush was – no other than Jericho Rosales.

She also revealed that she has one ex-boyfriend and she’s currently single. Asked her worst date experience, she replied, “Wala. Feeling ko kahit gaano naman hindi nag-go into plan, nasa kasama mo naman ‘yun, eh.” Would she date a fan? Definitely yes.

Ask Aya where to eat and she’d probably say, “Kahit saan” or “Kahit ano.” She knows it’s her annoying habit, “Feeling ko, hindi ako maka-decide ng ano’ng gusto kong kainin.”

Her mantra in life is “Champions rise when they can’t.” However, she probably wouldn’t be able to rise when there are spiders around – she’s scared of them.

When nobody is watching, she’s likely feeding her creativity, or she calls it “muni-muni.” Aya would like to experience being a guy, if only she could wake up one day with an instant physical change.

If you think Sam Milby is her first on-screen kiss for “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin,” well, surprise, it was just a fake kiss. Her real on-screen kiss is with Iana Bernardez in “Love Bites: Stand-In Love.”

If you came here for her embarrassing moment, here it is. It happened during her freshman year in college when she signed up for her school’s basketball varsity team despite her mom’s disapproval. So, during a game, “mainit na ‘yung laban tapos nasa akin na ‘yung bola, so angas, ganyan, 'yung Nanay ko, tumayo siya sa gilid ng court.”

Much to everyone’s shock and amusement, Aya’s mom started to reprimand her out loud in the middle of the game: “Aya! Sabi ko sa’yo bawal ka mag-basketball!”

“Tapos in-announce ng commentator na, parang, ‘Okay, Fernandez, Number 2. ‘Yung Nanay mo, bawal ka daw sa court.’”

“Hiyang-hiya talaga ako kasi nando’n na, eh. Ang angas na, eh.”

Moving on to the next question, Aya swears that she never cheated in her past relationship. Asked if revenge is a bad idea, she retorted, “Depende sa definition ng ganti.”

Did she ever take revenge? “Oo! Hindi ako papatalo, eh. Pinakamalaking ganti ko is something like legal matters. ‘Yung ganti ko is fighting for justice and fighting for what is right.”

But she thinks the best form of revenge is being successful and at peace, “Without having to prove anything to anyone, you’re very much at peace with your own pace, with your own world, own criteria, and own space.”

Catch Aya in “Nag-Aapoy Na Damdamin,” which airs Monday to Friday, at 3:45 pm, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5, and A2Z.
