Jolina Magdangal traveled back to the ‘90s in a special birthday episode on Magandang Buhay where she got to reunite with friends and look back on the good old days.

The first people to greet her in this episode were her husband Marc Escueta and their eldest child Pele. “Happy birthday, Mama! Me and Vika love you very much,” uttered Pele. Meanwhile, Marc made his wife ‘kilig’ with a heartfelt message honoring her dedication at home and work and wished she gets to stage another concert soon.

Pops Fernandez was like the fairy godmother of the younger ASAP girls in the ‘90s. There were the likes of Jolina, Roselle Nava, Carol Banawa, and Nikki Valdez looking up to her. She was their parents’ trusted person and Jolina said Pops was their role model in performing, “Nakita ko ‘yung pagiging professional, sa kanila ako natuto. Kapag perform, perform talaga. Performance level, go kahit ano pa ang nararamdaman mo. Kahit ano pa ‘yung lugar. Kapag work, work,” she imparted. That’s why she was elated to see the Concert Queen in the studio and reminisce the fun times they had together.

You also wouldn’t want to miss the nostalgic reunion of Jolina and her good friends Rica Peralejo and Roselle Nava. It was a sweet surprise not only for the birthday girl but more so for the ‘90s kids who missed seeing the trio together. Jolina, Rica, and Roselle’s closeness started on the set of the iconic kiddie gag show “Ang TV.” And in this episode, they revealed a ton of secrets and some sort of ‘tampuhan’ that Jolina admittedly carried for years, making her emotional.

The ladies nevertheless assured that nothing needs to be fixed because they never had a fight. It’s just that Rica may be too young to keep up with Jolina and Roselle at the time. “Ako, nagpapasalamat ako na nagkaroon kami ng chance to reconnect ni Jolina recently. Kasi nung bata pa ako medyo dalaga na sila, ako kasi ang baby nila. Lagi kong nakikita si Jolina as parang ang sarap maging kaibigan nito but I felt so young also na mas nagkakaintindihan sila ni Roselle… Wala naman kasi kailangang i-patch up like never kaming nagkagalit, tumanda lang kami. That's it,” Rica maintained, with Jolina adding, “Ngayon na nakapag-reconnect na tayo, enjoy-in na natin ito,"

Roselle further talked about how Jolina never changed through the years and shared her birthday message, “Sana ang wish ko sa birthday mo for the Lord to always protect you, guide you. Hindi lang ikaw pati ang family mo at always be humble pa rin, tulad ng dati."
