Toni Fowler is back on Magandang Buhay The Podcast! This time, she’s joined by her team, the Toro Family. Be inspired by their success story as they relate how they went from strangers to being a family, thriving as one unit whether that be in the online circuit or real life.

First things first, how did the Toro Family start? According to Toni, the name ToRo Family was coined by netizens after she finally admitted that she has a daughter named Tyronia, and their family has grown bigger since.

Toni’s big-heartedness is evident in how she forgives and loves without condition, and how she brings out the best in other people. When asked why she decided to recruit her friends and relatives into vlogging and form the Toro Family, she said it’s her way of helping them unleash their potential and lead a more successful life as the oft-quoted adage goes, “If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”

However, there can be a downside to too much generosity. Toni admitted that sometimes she trusts the wrong people. “May mga moments na nalulungkot ako, nada-down ako kasi parang pakiramdam ko na, ‘yun talaga ‘yung definition ng ikaw na nga tumulong, ikaw pa ‘yung masama. Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit ako ‘yung masama dahil lang hindi ko naipagpatuloy ‘yung pagtulong ko.”

In such moments, she opts to look for a silver lining and tells her family to just let things be. “Huwag gumanti,” is her firm reminder to her teammates. “Hindi ako napapagod magtiwala, tulad ng hindi ako napapagod magmahal. Napakasarap magmahal, bakit mo ipagdadamot sa puso mo at sa sarili mo ‘yun? Para sa akin, mas katangahan ‘yung hindi ka na nagmahal,” she added.

In the second part of the episode, Toni is joined by the rest of the Toro Family members. Here, we got to meet Paye, Papi, Harvey, Audie, Mari, and Toni’s current partner Vince. We learned that this group goes way back, as they all became friends with Toni even before she started vlogging. Some of them, she met in her previous work. Vince, for instance, first saw Toni in the dance studio where their respective dance groups used to rehearse.

The Toro Family may be from different places with different stories, but Toni managed to unite them as a single unit and teach them the value of team spirit. “Pinagtagpi-tagpi kaming lahat,” as they put it. Listen to the podcast and find out what they’re most grateful for to their Mommy Oni.
