Loveteam partners Kobie Brown and Andi Abaya feel a mix of emotions as their first teleserye Love In 40 Days enters its last three weeks. Here’s a promise from them: it isn’t your usual ending.
In this episode of Kapamilya Chat, KoDrea reveals that they finished filming the series last May but everything remains fresh in their memories. They will miss everyone, especially the ensemble cast, from whom they learned essential acting techniques that they will carry to their next projects. Andi calls it an honor to have worked with and learned from their cast-mates, especially the veterans she looks up to.
The young stars have also had a special bond with director Manny Palo, who patiently guided them as they learn the ropes of teleseryes. Kobie says he appreciates even the constructive criticisms from Direk Manny, adding that the latter was patient but not without pushing him to do his best.
Love In 40 Days’ theme is a mix of rom-com and fantasy which requires repetitive takes and complex camera techniques. It was therefore a good training ground for the rookie loveteam. They took on the challenging parts with much gusto because they learned from their veteran co-stars that they must be on their toes at all times.
Asked their favorite scenes, Kobie recalls when Brock proposed to Celine, saying it got him so emotional since it coincided with their last taping day. As for Andi, her ultimate favorite is the ending. She cried just reading the script for the finale. She says it felt surreal to be acting with the whole ensemble cast for the final scenes.
Viewers have sure learned a lot from KoDrea’s characters, the young lovers Brock and Celine who ended up stuck in Evergreen Mansion after meeting an accident while trying to elope. As For Andi, her greatest takeaway from Celine is the value of giving forgiveness not just to other people but most especially to ourselves. Meanwhile, Kobie underscores that to keep a harmonious relationship, people must take an effort to understand and be honest with each other, as Brock and Celine did.
Love In 40 Days has indeed taught us to let go of hate and celebrate life everyday.
The series stars Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte with veteran actors Leo Martinez, Mylene Dizon, Janice de Belen, Lotlot de Leon, Bart Guingona, William Lorenzo, and Maria Isabel Lopez. Also in the cast are Trina Legazpi, Ahron Villena, Raven Molina, Vaughn Piczon, Benedix Ramos, Renshi de Guzman, Josh de Guzman, Zabel Lamberth, Chie Filomeno, and KoDrea.
It airs weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
