As her name suggests, Barbie Imperial is one breathtaking doll-like beauty!
In a previous interview, her mom divulged that she actually named her as such, given her features akin to the world-famous doll—fair skin, slim physique, and a very pretty face. And when this stunner with humble roots stepped inside Kuya’s house for Pinoy Big Brother: 737 in 2015, her moniker was quite appropriate: “The Doll Along the Riles ng Albay.”
As she stepped into the limelight, Barbie was noticed not only for her gorgeous looks but for her promising talent in acting and dancing. She’s able to showcase her impressive acting chops through her teleserye stints, which include All Of Me (2015), Langit Lupa (2016), La Luna Sangre (2017), and several episodes of Maalaala Mo Kaya, Wansapanataym, and Ipaglaban Mo, then her dancing and hosting skills when she became part of the It’s Showtime girl group GirlTrends and a few appearances in ASAP Natin ‘To.
It was in the 2018 afternoon soap opera Precious Hearts Romances Presents: Araw Gabi through which she’s able to initially break free from her teeny bopper roles and prove her worth as an actress by playing the central character Michelle “Mich” Verano/Anna Vida de Alegre, an eye-catching damsel that viewers truly adored.
That paved the way for her to score more acting projects, such as FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano (2020) as Police Lieutenant Camille Villaluna and Bagong Umaga (2020) as main character Catherine “Cai” Veradona. She also starred in iWantTFC Originals series “Taiwan That You Love” (2019), “Oh, Mando!” (2020), “Click Like Share” (2021), and “The Goodbye Girl” (2022).
And in pursuit of giving her fans a further glimpse on her personal life and who she really is when not taking on various roles, as well as getting them updated with some of her ganaps and interacting with them, she also launched her eponymous YouTube channel in mid-2022. This is aside from her social media accounts through which she posts her sultry and captivating photos and shares more updates to her thousands and millions of followers.
She may not be living in a Barbie world, just like what she says in the intro of her vlogs, but we can all agree that Barbie Imperial can definitely pass as the Filipina counterpart of the famous doll to whom she’s named after as she possesses “barbiesque” beauty inside and out.
