Summer came early for It’s Showtime’s creative team as they went on a Batangas escapade courtesy of Vice Ganda.

Vice shared the happy ‘ganaps’ in his vlog titled “It’s SHOREtime!” In there, we see him bonding with the noontime show’s staff in what he calls a ‘creative summit’ “pero wala po kaming nabuong segment.” Instead of brainstorming, they ended up just enjoying their weekend getaway taking on different water activities!

On their first night in the resort, he woke up his companions including their director John Moll for ghost hunting. But with Vice around, things turned funny than spooky. They didn’t see anything scary and went back to the hotel resort to continue their rest time.

On Day 2, they had a scrumptious breakfast buffet where Vice tried the Ilocano dish kansi, a type of beef soup with tangy flavors. If you’re looking for the punchline, here it is: “Si Jhong Hilario, nagluto rin dati ng kansi ‘yun, eh. Ang tawag kansi-hal.”

He then went around asking the team some Who’s Who questions like who’s the sweetest, kindest, and most ‘maldita’ among the It’s Showtime hosts. He introduced some of the staff members from the writers to producers and security staff.

The breakfast was followed by water activities. “Maligo kayo para hindi kayo amoy-araw ‘pag nasa studio,” he jestingly told them. And since he wasn’t yet swimming, he was tasked to take their beach pics, “Ako na nagpa-swimming, sa akin pa nagpa-picture,” he quipped. They also tried the “disco boat” adventure in which the group rode a round inflatable that twirls fast on the water, “ikot-ikot lang parang Sarah G,” as Vice puts it.

Next is the “banana boat” activity. Instead of riding the banana-shaped inflatable with the team, Vice hopped on the motorized boat that towed them behind. Where’s the fun if they won’t fall off the boat? They did and jestingly blamed Vice, whose only concern at the time was his false eyelashes flapping in the wind. Lol!

“Ang saya! My kids are having a great time,” said Vice, as his beloved It’s Showtime family enjoys their much-deserved break.
