As It’s Showtime’s “ReIna ng Tahanan” pays tribute to ordinary moms with extraordinary stories of grit, sacrifices, and love for their families, Ruffa Gutierrez is indeed a perfect fit to become one of its “royal choose-gados” or judges alongside Janice de Belen and Amy Perez.

But aside from simply assessing the performances of each contestant, they also share their thoughts and personal experiences, as well as give out pieces of advice to which not only the ReiNanays, but also the hosts and madlang people could relate or learn a thing or two. As ReiNanay Nanette confessed that she’s a victim of domestic violence but never filed a case against her ex-husband for the sake of their children, Ruffa stated that she completely understands her and went on to remind her that she’s not a victim but a survivor. Besides, she’s beautiful no matter what and she never deserves to get hurt.

Upon hearing the unconditional love of one of the ReiNanays have to her blind husband, the celebrity mom of two wished to also experience the same kind of love and find the right one she’s been looking for. She also reminded everyone to be always grateful with everything we have right now because the best things in life are indeed free – just like love.

Her past relationships may not be successful, but Ruffa refuses to simply give up on love and continues to pray for the right man to whom she is destined with. She advised the same to one of the contestants who’s a single mom like her and is still hopeful to find a lifetime partner. When asked to describe her ideal partner, she said that she wanted someone who’s faithful in all aspect and have the same religion as her, perhaps.

Being a single mom, it’s indeed a struggle for the actress-host to be able to send her two daughters to prestigious schools. Thus, she related to the It’s Showtime hosts how it’s certainly a great achievement for her when her firstborn Lorin graduated from high school.

As Tyang Amy wore a shirt that states “Please lang layuan mo ako”, host Vice Ganda asked Ruffa who she wanted to stay away from her. Having been to a few romantic affairs in the past, she wished to fend off temptations because she doesn’t want to have any detour in her love life anymore.

Through her stint in It’s Showtime, Ruffa is able to prove that she’s not just beauty and brains for she also has the wit and humor that makes her even more admirable. And she’s able to exhibit it in between the emotional moments, where she shares a laugh with the hosts and her fellow judges to lighten the mood.

From making fun of Janice’s OOTD (outfit of the day) for a certain episode, she also gamely accepted the funny comments of the hosts regarding her “tita” attires in the previous, which compelled her to change her style inspired by her teenage daughters’ usual get-ups the following day.

After Vice made her bust her dance club moves since it’s her birthday, Ruffa once again fell victim to the Unkabogable Star the following day as he successfully made her sing a few lines from the song “One Hello” – to which she could allegedly relate to because of having a phone pal. Once again, the host made fun of her by saying that she’s a former bird because of how shrill her voice was.

And speaking of phone pal, she admitted that she’s actually been exchanging messages with a few admirers who are all aiming to capture her heart. But none of them has won her yet and told everyone that it may take her one to two months to be able to decide.
