Last July 12, It’s Showtime host Kim Chiu filled Instagram with overwhelming love and sweetness as she paid tribute to her on-and-off-screen sweetheart Xian Lim for his 33rd birthday through a series of post – much to the delight and kilig of their adoring friends and followers.

Her first post was a video of them singing “Every Breathe You Take” as he played the piano, which he captioned: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the person who gave me this smile since ‘12!!!! thank you for being patient with me and for making me feel loved by you every single day!”

The Chinita Princess then posted set of snaps and clips of him and them together, to which she attached the sappy message, “To the person who always gives me the reason to smile, to see the good in every situation, my sponge whenever I feel bad, my photographer/videographer, my yin to my yang, my introvert to my extrovert self, travel buddy, my food-trip buddy, my best friend, this can go on and on but….. I want you to know that I appreciate you so much. Thank you for being you. Thank you for existing in this world. Wishing you nothing but the best! [sic]”

Avid fans of their tandem, fondly called “KimXi,” know all too well that their paths first intertwined on the set of the 2008 Filipino adaptation of the Korean drama “My Girl,” wherein she was the leading lady and he played a cameo role in the last episode.

Three years after, they were finally paired with one another in the 2011 romance drama “My Binondo Girl”. Their first team-up gained a huge following and was succeeded by their starring roles in “Ina, Kapatid, Anak” the following year. They went on to topbill two more teleseryes titled “The Story Of Us” (2016) and Love Thy Woman (2020), as well as in five movies, namely, “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush Ng Crush Mo?” (2013), “Bride For Rent” (2014), “Past Tense” (2014), “Must Date The Playboy” (2015), and “All You Need Is Pag-Ibig” (2015).

We may not know when their romantic affair officially began as they refuse to talk about it in detail in their previous interviews, but what we’re sure of is that they give each happiness and contentment, as what Kim stated in her Magandang Buhay guesting in 2018.

We may not see them much on television together unlike before, but KimXi continues to spread kilig and good vibes as a couple through the photos and videos of them that they share on social media, as well as in their vlogs. Aside from giving us a glimpse of their laidback yet fun lives outside showbiz, they have also brought us to their memorable travels here and abroad, which make them one of our ultimate #CoupleGoals!
