Aside from astounding us with her exceptional prowess as a singer, actress, and host and mesmerizing us with her timeless beauty, Tawag ng Tanghalan hurado Zsa Zsa Padilla has probably inspired a lot of people as well to take a chance in love when it knocks on your door, regardless of how old you already are or the things you went through in life.

The death of her former longtime partner Comedy King Dolphy in 2012 may have shattered her, but she’s able to slowly rebuild herself not just with the help of her family and friends, but of her “life partner” for eight years now – Architect Conrad Onglao.

In her guesting in the Star Cinema online talk program “I Feel U” in February 2021, the Divine Diva divulged that they met through her best friend Sharon Cuneta, who set them up in a blind date in 2014. They apparently hit it off and got engaged two years after.

However, their first engagement got called off in 2016 and they went on separate ways. Six months after, the unexpected crossing of their paths six months after enabled them to get back together and have been engaged for years now. In her Tonight With Boy Abunda interview in 2017, Zsa Zsa imparted that she actually refused to get married to Conrad as she was frightened that what happened to her and the Comedy King before would happen to them, too.

Aside from the genuine love they share together, the couple discovered along the way that they are actually fond of doing the same things, such as travelling, going to the market, cooking, and eating. And they’re able to do all of these every time they are at the farm-slash-rest house in Lucban, Quezon called Casa Esperanza, which they named after her and was designed by him. They’re both hands-on in working on it, as what we’ve seen in some Zsa Zsa’s vlogs.

Besides, amid their busy schedules at work, they make sure to still spend quality time with one another and pray together. At the same time, they also allow each other to have alone or quiet time and to do the things they want to do on their own, as what she imparted during her Magandang Buhay guesting in 2020.
