I Can See Your Voice has been entertaining us for six years now. And this 2023, it arguably didn’t fall short in providing us with amusement every weekend night through the hilarious banters among its innately comedic host Luis Manzano, the witty “singvestigators,” and the guest artists as they sought who among the group of “mystery singers” is the legit one.

However, not all guest artists are successful in hunting down the real singer as some of them got deceived by the “seen-tunados” who did great jobs in their portrayals. In this special feature, let’s find out who among the guest artists this year were able to add winning the “eye-ward” (a play on the words “eye” and “award”) to their list of achievements after successfully finding the certified “see-nger”.

Martin Nievera and Bamboo

Let’s start off with the Concert King and the OPM rock icon who made an appearance on the show, along with Robi Domingo, to promote then the upcoming The Voice Kids Season 5. It was actually only Martin and Robi who played, but Bamboo joined them through a surprise appearance in the “Stage of Truth” portion as he and Martin sang Bonnie Raitt’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” with Andrei Subaybay, a.k.a. “Draw Barrymore”.

Ice Seguerra

Along with his two drag queen friends, Ice was able to pick “see-nger” Rio Guanlao, a.k.a. “Choir-Tyang Amy o Kahon”, to whom he shared the stage as they sang a duet of one of his well-loved songs “Para Lang Sa ‘Yo.”

John Arcilla

Many of us probably know him as an award-winning actor, but not a lot are aware that John is also a talented singer. And he’s able to showcase that facet of him during his stint last April, wherein he astounded us with his version of Gary Valenciano’s “Kapalaran.” But our amazement didn’t end there as his chosen “secret song-er” called “Jock Tabudlo” astonished us, at the same time, with his awesome vocal prowess.

Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles

They’re not just partners in real life and on the reels, but in conquering the thrilling yet enjoyable test of I Can See Your Voice as well, as Kim and Jerald were able to pick the right one among this episode’s mystery singers. Together with “Farm This Moment On”, KimJe got us grooving to VST & Company’s “Step No, Step Yes.”

Princess Velasco, Juris Fernandez, Sitti Navarro

After a long time of not seeing them together, Princess, Juris, and Sitti truly delighted us when they appeared on I Can See Your Voice together last May. They weren’t able to keep their excitement as they jumped for joy after their chosen mystery singer “Make It Isip On Me,” whose real name is Jerome Muñoz, turned out to be a “see-nger” as he impressed us with his take on “Each Day With You” by Juris.

Pops Fernandez

The Concert Queen got everyone dancing as she performed the disco hit “I-Swing Mo Ako” during her stint on the show last May. Fortunately, she got a “see-nger” in “secret song-er” nicknamed “Sun ka Man Naroroon,” who allowed everyone in the studio enjoy the mini party with her rendition of the upbeat song.

SB19

Fans of the P-pop frontrunner surely rejoiced when they made an appearance on I Can See Your Voice also last May, in which they indulged us with their vigorous performance of their then-newly released single “GENTO.” Making it extra fun was when they got to share the stage with their chosen “secret songer” tagged as “Dalhin de Leon.”

Regine Velasquez-Alcasid

We arguably found ourselves singing along with Asia’s Songbird as she belted out one of her classic love songs “Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka” when she guested last June. Luckily, she was able to pick mystery singer Jennifer Jorge, a.k.a. “Amoy Isang Pinoy,” who used to work as a singer in Japan, as her partner in the “Stage of Truth” segment because they’re able to deliver a moving duet.

Seth Fedelin

We all know that his handsome appearance is already enough to sweep us off our feet. But Seth can further make us swoon with his vocal talent, which he’s able to show when he sang his song “Kahit Anong Sabihin Ng Iba” on the show along with King Isaiah Tabelisma, a.k.a. mystery singer “Pen & Pen.” He and his “Fractured” co-stars Francine Diaz, Raven Rigor, Sean Tristan, and Jeremiah Lisbo all did a great job as they’re able to pick a certified “see-nger”.

Jireh Lim

“Singvestigators” and live audiences alike weren’t able to hold their kilig as Jireh started singing his well-loved masterpiece “Buko” during his guesting last September. And that thrill further amplified when his chosen mystery singer, “Tako Ang Nagwagi,” turned out to be a real “see-nger” and even let us hear his different take on the said song.

Nina

The Soul Siren expressed how truly nervous she was prior to singing her rendition of “Kung Ako Na Lang Sana.” Thus, we really felt her sigh of relief when “secret song-er” Melanie Marzan, a.k.a. “Yoga One That I Want,” turned out to be a “see-nger”.

Sandara Park

During her recent visit in the Philippines last October, Star Circle Quest Season 1 alumna and Korean pop idol Sandara Parkhad the chance to treat us with her guesting in the program, wherein she got to perform one of her well-loved tracks “Ang Ganda Ko” with her ultimate choice “Baa Baa BlackPink.” She turned out to be a “see-nger”, whose real name is Jessie Mhay Buaron, a 21-year-old student from Parañaque City who joined to show the world her hidden talent in singing.

Ara Mina

Another artist not a lot of people know is also actually a singer is Ara, who got to exhibit this not widely-known side of her during her guesting last November. She stunned us with her version of “Kung Kailangan Mo Ako” by Sharon Cuneta, which she got to share with “secret song-er” Mica Santiago, a.k.a. “Make It Wed You.” She wasn’t able to hold back her tears when she found out that she got the right person, imparting that she actually prayed that the jackpot prize would go to the contestant that needed it the most.

Sharon Cuneta

And from simply hearing a rendition of her song, we finally got to have the Megastar herself on the show this December to promote her film and serenade us with “Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko.” As she conveyed how she felt that her chosen “secret song-er” is really a singer, she’s able to prove her instincts accurate as Elaine Bautista, a.k.a. “Prito Ba? O Prito Ba?” is indeed a legit one.

Who are the stars you look forward to see on I Can See Your Voice next year, Kapamilya?
