In the past two decades that he’s been in the local entertainment scene, we’ve admired Luis Manzano as a good actor, esteemed host, and a talented comedian. And as film and show productions were halted during the pandemic, he was among the number of celebrities who turned to YouTube vlogging in order to continue bringing entertainment to avid fans and further give updates about their ganaps in life.

And as his eponymous channel recently hit the two-million subscriber mark, he celebrated it by treating us with an amusing content wherein he reacted to viral TikTok videos featuring clips of him from the previous projects he did and also read some of the comments from the netizens.

First off was the clip in which he’s seen having a kulitan moment with Bea Alonzo and Sarah Geronimo on the ASAP stage. The I Can See Your Voice host revealed how both Bea and Sarah are actually “naturally makulit,” and further commented about the Popstar Royalty, uttering, “Huwag n’yong iisipin na hindi makulit si Sarah. Mahiyain ‘yan, pero kailangan alam mo lang ang tamang timpla kung papaano kulitan ‘yan. Pero ‘pag tumawa na ‘yan si Sarah, jusko.” He went on to express how much he misses the former kulitan he used to have with his ASAP family, as well as the friendships formed among them.

Second was the montage showing his close-knit tie with Sharlene San Pedro, who he considers as his anak-anakan in showbiz. The first clip displayed little Sharlene during her guesting in an episode of the classic Kapamilya gameshow “Game KNB?” wherein she asked host Edu Manzano if she could greet his son Luis, who she fondly calls “Daddy.” The latter was truly dumbfounded, with the former explaining that it’s because he’s been addressing her as “anak”.

Luis expounded that it started when they worked together for the first time in the inaugural season of “Star Circle Kid Quest,” in which he’s one of the hosts while she was among the finalists. That clip was succeeded by two more clips from her Minute To Win It appearances wherein Luis called her “anak,” and a screenshot of one of Sharlene’s birthday tributes for him on Instagram. After jesting that she’s been in planet Jupiter for six years now, he went on to convey how proud he is of all her achievements and how she has remained the same since Day 1. Just like their fans, he’s also looking forward to collaborate with her in one of her future vlogs.

The third one was a clip from Broadway Diva Lea Salonga’s guesting in I Can See Your Voice, in which she called him “sintunado.” He described how they share the same wavelength, expounding, “Si Coach Lea, iba rin ang timpla ng humor niya. ‘Yong humor niya is may pagka-US humor din. Kumbaga, magkasundo kami, alam namin ‘yong asaran. Whenever we text each other, grabe pa rin ‘yong kulitan namin ni Coach Lea.”

Luis then expressed how much he misses her, especially because of how genuine she is and how he could learn a lot from her, as well as how he wishes to have her in an episode of Lucky TV.

Luis had another funny short video with Sarah uploaded on Facebook, wherein he asked her how she would describe his “kagwapuhan” or handsomeness. And she replied, “nothing compares to it,” “nag-iisa ka lang” and “speechless”. He then joked that the Popstar Royalty can actually be bribed just to say good things to someone.

The fifth clip was one of the funny scenes of him and his “original loveteam” Anne Curtis in the 2007 comedy flick “Ang Cute Ng Ina Mo.” He went on to recount the other projects they did together, such as “Kampanerang Kuba” (2005), “Dyosa” (2008), and “Who’s That Girl?” (2011), as well as conveyed how much he misses working with her. With regards to his bond with his best friend, he stated, “’Yong friendship namin, eh nasa point na kahit ‘di kami nagkikita, okay lang dahil ‘di nawawala ‘yong friendship namin”.

And lastly, a clip from one of his Facebook Live sessions with his mom Vilma Santos-Recto and wife Jessy Mendiola, wherein he was seen tapping back his Momskie after she tapped him while talking to the viewers, which made Jessy laugh. He also certainly made everyone burst into laughter in another clip, in which he laid out his platforms if he’s going to run for office.
