Young actresses Francine Diaz and Xyriel Manabat are stepping out of their comfort zones. This time, they are competing against each other in Kapamilya series Dirty Linen, serving us with feisty confrontations. Watch their entertaining rivalry via this Friday 5 video!

The silent war went a little fiercer during their vacation with friends and Tonet (Xyriel)’s brother Clint (Raven Rigor) at a resort. They noticed that Tonet was flirting with the resort’s staff Nico (Seth Fedelin) and laughed at her cheap taste. At the time, it was clear that some ‘boy problem’ would thicken the cousin’s rivalry.

The group then explored the beach riding on a boat provided by Nico and his friend Dennis (CJ Navato), breaking Doña Cielo (Tessie Tomas)’s rule to never go out of the resort. Chiara was forced to make lies while talking to Doña Cielo over the phone to cover up her cousin’s wild ideas. Though she did it for peace’s sake, still she implied that Tonet is a bad influence. While they were hanging out, Chiara noticed that Tonet was trying to get Nico’s attention by inviting him to dance. She didn’t say anything but Chiara’s eyes noticeably glowed with jealousy.

There was a scene where Chiara went missing the whole day. And when she went back to the resort with Nico, the latter got a taste of Clint’s temper. Chiara explained that she asked Nico to hang out, which Tonet didn’t like. Then again, Chiara proved that she’s still the more powerful Fiero by having the final say and defending Nico from her cousins.

At the Fiero mansion, Chiara was making a scrapbook of their trip but excluding photos that have Tonet in them. Now, here comes Tonet ready to push Chiara’s buttons by insisting her photos be included in the scrapbook. Chiara just cut the drama and walked away, while Tonet smiled in satisfaction and said that she always gets what she wants.

In the next scene, though, Chiara proved that she is their clan’s golden child. Tonet confronted Chiara for partying with her original squad without even telling her. Now it’s about stealing friends and who’s the cool girl between them. Tonet fired the first round of insults, saying that not everyone will like Chiara, not even Nico, and that some people get close to her just because she’s a Fiero. Besides, she pressed, Chiara is too sheltered and a boring companion.

The equally ‘palaban’ Chiara retorted that Tonet isn’t likable to everyone as well. Though there was no hysteria vented out in this showdown, the witty exchange makes it too satisfying, with Chiara capping it off by asking Tonet, “At least ako, Fiero. Ikaw, ano nga ulit apelyido mo?”
