He is merciless and murderous. Carlos Fiero is the villain that you wouldn’t want to cross paths with. The complex character is magnificently portrayed by renowned actor John Arcilla in Dirty Linen. Re-watch his bone-chilling scenes via this Kapamilya Toplist.

Carlos is not your conventional ‘kontrabida’ in that he’s a husband and a father, and sometimes he shows weakness and emotions, though he conceals them with his arrogance. But he is absolutely loathsome as he is violent and greedy.

He can crush anyone if he wants to, or use their family’s money to clean their mess. When his son Aidan (Zanjoe Marudo) knocked down a random guy who offended Chiara (Francine Diaz) in a bar, Carlos instructed his wife Leona (Janice de Belen) to just silence the victim with money. He will not hesitate to kill anyone who double-crosses their family. We were seated on the edge of our seats watching the scene where he tortured a thief with a sledgehammer.

There is no sympathetic bone in his body. Even his brother-in-law Ador (Epy Quizon) gets a taste of his temper. He knows he has power over Ador, thus treating him like trash. And if it weren’t for his sister Feliz (Angel Aquino), Carlos would’ve murdered Ador after the latter’s porn operations got exposed.

Anybody would get scared when Carlos starts to shout and throw things. He loves having power over everyone, so take that power and he will surely turn insane. There was a scene where he didn’t like Leona’s insulting reaction to the way he handles the family’s problems. At the time, Chiara (Francine Diaz) went missing, too, and he was disappointed with how complacent Leona was. Triggered, he raised his hand at his wife, which Aidan witnessed. You see, he’d rather make his family suffer than wound his ego. “You don’t get to make me feel small, not you, not anybody else,” he told Leona.

Unsurprisingly, he still has an even darker to show, exposed by his feelings of jealousy. Men like Carlos think they can be unfaithful all they want but get upset when mistreated likewise. He began to doubt Leona’s loyalty and assumed she is having an affair with Hector (Ping Medina). He tortured one of the employees trying to get clues about Leona’s mysterious affair. When this issue led to a confrontation, Carlos proved that he is a beast. Not only did he spit awful words at his wife, but he also sexually assaulted her in a manner that was rough and full of hate.

Carlos is a monster, and very dangerous and terrifying at that. But, still, we don’t want to miss his scenes in Dirty Linen, airing weeknights, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5 and A2Z.
