Just like his Dirty Linen character Rolando “Olan” Sinag, veteran character actor Joel Torre is also a doting, awesome, and hardworking dad to his two beloved gorgeous and talented daughters Aila and Marela in real life.

Not much have been known nor written yet about his beautiful family, but as we did a little stalking on his and his daughters’ Instagram accounts and a deep dive on the internet, we’re able to learn more about them.

In spite of his hectic schedule, as he has appeared in a slew of TV series and movies in the recent years, it’s truly delighting to see how Joel is able maintain his close-knit bond with his wife Christy Azcona-Torre and their two gorgeous and talented grown-up daughters Maria Ariela (or “Aila”) and Maria Raphaela (or “Marela”).

Each of them may be busy with their respective gigs and other activities, but the Torre family makes sure to still find time to bond by dining, celebrating various occasions, and going on trips here and abroad together.

The eldest Aila is an athlete and a visual artist, who has competed in several wakeboarding events, a basketball enthusiast, and has delighted her followers with her amazing artworks. She already got married in December 2022 to entrepreneur Kev Abadam.

Marela, on the other hand, is into boxing and filmmaking. Just like their dad, she has also gotten into acting and has already appeared in several projects, such as in the indie flick “We Will Not Die Tonight” (2018), as well as in the fantasy-action series La Luna Sangre as one of the valiant Moonchasers in 2017 and in the long-running action-drama series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano as Don Ignacio’s (Tommy Abuel) cunning bodyguard Thalia.

Aside from their unmistakable closeness, what makes their family extra amazing is with how they’re able to expand their family food business – a chain of restaurants serving traditional dishes from their hometown Bacolod – hand-in-hand in the past years.
