With her genuine heart, Narda (Jane de Leon) offered Regina (Janella Salvador) a friendship that’s warm and encouraging. Just as she protects Nueva Esperanza, she’s also just one call away every time Regina needs a calming companion in her anxious moments. Here are scenes of Narda as Regina’s comfort person in Mars Ravelo’s Darna.

Narda’s love is the teddy bear of Regina’s heaviest moments. Just on their first encounter, she already saved her from a dark place. She sensed Regina was grieving through something, thus her advice to get out of that situation with faith. Later on, they’d meet as adults and grow the connection established when they were just teens.

Behind the intimidating front, Regina’s life is difficult in that she never felt validated. She works hard to win her father’s approval. But she’s not allowed to feel tired until she found her breathing space in Narda.

There was a scene where she ran to Narda for a much-needed hug. For the first time, Regina felt comfortable opening up to someone about her inner battles. And for the first time, too, she felt heard and appreciated, especially when Narda expressed how proud she is of Regina’s work as a lawyer and founder of Vanguardia Rescue.

Even Regina’s bodyguard, Ali (Mark Manicad), knew the right person to approach when she went to the comfort room to cry. He asked Narda to check on Regina, who admitted to hearing demonic voices in her head. Regina used to hide her pain because she was scared to be judged. But she felt Narda is the right person to open up to.

In the succeeding scene, Regina went to Narda’s house and met her family, Lola Berta (Rio Locsin) and Ding (Zaijian Jaranilla). She enjoyed their company. Knowing she can trust Narda, she decided to reveal her nightmares wherein she saw herself as Babaeng Ahas. The fear in Regina’s eyes died down, thanks to Narda’s kind words.

Regina felt like a huge weight has been lifted off her chest. She told Ali how Narda’s family made her feel cared for and at home. The feeling is mutual as Lola Berta also felt naturally drawn to Regina’s kindness. There’s a scene where Narda made up an excuse, saying she had to leave because Lola Berta is sick, but truth is she had to be on duty as Darna. So, Regina sent fruits to Lola Berta the next day.

As their friendship evolves, they also go through inevitable misunderstandings. There was a time Regina unintentionally raised her voice at Narda out of her intense hate toward Mayor Zaldy (Simon Ibarra). Admitting to herself that she can’t lose her friend, Regina humbly instigated their reconciliation.

The time when Brian (Joshua Garcia) was sent to hospital after an encounter with an ‘Extra’ also deepened their bond as they only got each other while praying for the man they both care for.

Narda always tells Regina that she’s like family to her. And knowing Narda doesn’t give empty promises, DarLentina fans got excited when she invited Regina for a sleepover.
