Are you on Team Brian or Team Noah? How about Teach Richard?

As Mars Ravelo’s Darna delves deep into every character, viewers were recently captivated by Richard (LA Santos)’s good-heartedness and his cute banter with Narda (Jane de Leon). He’s also the first person in the workplace to know about her secret, pulling them closer to each other. The more interactions they share, the more their chemistry becomes evident, as shown in this Friday 5 video.

It’s impossible not to notice the sudden rush of emotions Richard feels whenever Narda is around. He acts extra caring that he just knows when something is troubling her. Then, he said his piece about forgiveness when Narda asked how he’d feel towards the person who killed his loved one. Eavesdropping on the conversation, Andrei (Young JV) comments that Richard sounds intelligent when Narda is around as if he’s trying to impress her.

In the next scene, Narda thanked Richard for her uplifting words. He smiled, telling her that he will always be there to listen. Narda mentioned that she wants to be honest with a friend but she’s scared it might ruin their relationship. The thought seems to have resonated with Richard. In his eyes, we saw his wish to confess his feelings, and at the same time, the fear of its consequences. Nevertheless, he’s happy that she trusts him enough to open up about her problems.

Things got sweeter from there as Richard discovers that the superhero he admires, Darna, and his friend Narda are the same. In this scene, Narda, Richard, and Andrei rushed a patient to the hospital where Silent Shocker (Boom Labrusca) attacks. She left her friends to look for a spot where she could transform into superhero form, oblivious to Richard’s presence behind her.

Richard suffered injuries from the attack and was confined at the hospital. He confessed what he just witnessed, much to Narda’s surprise. But there was certainty written on his face, which was enough to soothe Narda’s worries. She knows her secret is safe with him.

Richard thanked Narda for her heroic deeds. Knowing that she carries the weight of the world on her shoulders, his goal now is to make Narda smile with his witty lines along with the promise to protect her and her secret.
