Who doesn’t love explosive resurrection in teleseryes?

Ina Raymundo’s character, Annie Mariano, had a fabulous comeback in the Kapamilya series “Can’t Buy Me Love” decades after abandoning her son Bingo (Donny Pangilinan) as a child. And she made sure her reappearance would make her enemies tremble in fear, looking elegant from head to toe.

Annie is no longer a plain and struggling housewife. Now, she has built her own empire, which also means a significant wardrobe upgrade. Her choice of style revolves around feminine power dressing with feathers and fringes as her signature piece. She isn’t called 'Feather Girl' for nothing – or is she really?

What’s a grand appearance without the scene-stealing OOTD? For the New Year’s Eve episode, Annie made her much-awaited comeback in a fiery red serpentina gown swathed in feathers. Wilson (Rowell Santiago) was too stunned to speak when he saw her. And we bet Cindy (Agot Isidro) and Gina (Rufa Gutierrez) would react the same way, too.

True enough, the two secretive women gawked in disbelief upon meeting Annie, who entered the restaurant clad in a mind-blowing cream suit adorned with – you guessed it – elaborate feathers and fringe. Or, maybe their reaction stemmed from a secret they wish to forever keep.

Although tension bubbled up in the air during their unexpected on-screen confrontation, behind the scene was a different story. Ina, Rufa, and Agot were like BFFs giddily enjoying their reunion.

Rising from the ashes, Annie had managed to have everything – a career, wealth, and a stylish wardrobe. Sometimes she can even spice up a robe and turn it luxurious with feather accents.

Aside from feathers, she obviously has a penchant for asymmetrical neckline, too.

In the fashion world, the feather is a symbol of female emancipation. So, will Annie be the one to set Caroline (Belle Mariano) free from the elusive truth that paralyzes her? When will she be able to free herself from the past that continues to haunt her conscience as a mom to Bingo?
