It had been quite some time since the last time that we saw her in a Kapamilya program, thus, those who were able to follow the showbiz journey of Miles Ocampo were certainly delighted upon finding out that she’s going to have a brief yet significant stint in the ABS-CBN primetime series FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.

And she absolutely did not disappoint as her compelling portrayal of the young Marites Dimaguiba in the pilot episode made it to the top trending topics on Twitter, with netizens commending her noteworthy performance and dubbing her as one of her generation’s best actresses. The show’s lead actor and director Coco Martin was also all-praises towards her as she really nailed every scene that she did, especially that one wherein she stopped Ryza Cenon’s character (young Olga) from taking away her newborn son.

While others just noticed her dramatic flair through her latest portrayal, avid followers of Miles since she was still a child star surely know that she has already showcased her acting chops in the Kapamilya programs that she starred in. Prior to joining the pioneer batch of Goin’ Bulilit in 2005, not a lot arguably knows that she had her debut through the 2004 afternoon soap opera Mangarap Ka, which was succeeded by her stint in Spirits.

She was also chosen to be one of the lead stars in the 2005 kiddie drama Mga Anghel Na Walang Langit, through which she’s able to initially show her dramatic prowess. She then became part of Kapamilya series Calla Lily (2006), Komiks Presents: Sandok ni Boninay (2006), Pablo S. Gomez’s Juanita Banana (2010), Maria la del Barrio (2011), LUV U (2012), Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw (2013), and Home Sweetie Home (2014), along with several episodes of MMK and Wansapanataym.

It was in 2015 when she landed a lead role in the melodrama series And I Love You So, which she starred alongside Julia Barretto, Dimples Romana, and Angel Aquino. Three years later, she became part of the daytime series Sana Dalawa Ang Puso, in which she had the opportunity to work with award-winning actress Jodi Sta. Maria.

Kapamilya, were you also astounded by Miles Ocampo’s trending performance in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo?
